Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:

What was the days of Noah, the 40 days of rain, in my view. The Ark was raised to its highest height at the 40th day. From day one of the flood the Ark was started to be raised to the clouds right up to the 40th day, so maybe within these forty days the Bride could be raised up, just like the Ark to meet the Lord in the air?.

Gen 7:12 And the rain was upon the earth fortydays and forty nights.

there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

The sign of the prophet Jonas, is in my view the 40 days warning, just like in the days of Noah the 40 days of rain. The message is the forty days perhaps.
