Dear Laurie,
Amen!!  I really liked what you said in this post, as it made a great deal of sense and was a wonderful description of what this site means to me, and how I think it enhances our studies and understanding of the Holy Scriptures.  I feel that our personal relationship with the Lord and what the Holy Spirit puts on our hearts is our greatest teacher.  I respect all the Bible scholars who voice their learning and share their research, but the bottom line, is the Lord in our own lives, and what He reveals to us.

We are all learning, and no one knows the whole truth and never will until we are with Jesus in heaven, and this site is a wonderful place to be able to share freely without condemnation as to our personal views.  No disrespect to Sandra or anyone, as I am sure she has her views and reasons.  But, I think a few paragraphs of what you said definitely bears repeating, and are a good reminder, to all of us, of why we are here, and keep coming back. I quote from your post:

This is a unique site in that for many believers, this may be the first time they have felt free to contribute where they believe the Lord has lead them.  As their faith dictates, it may be what they have heard preached in their churches, told to by a friend or maybe even searched out on their own in scripture. 5 doves is a great sounding board for these ideas and for those who are really interested in this type of study, it often causes one to run to their bible to rethink what is being held to as truth.  I think the Jews thought so highly of this practice that this was the common method of study used in the synagogues where often the rabbis would debate a "truth".

When Christ came he finally put the truth before them and few were able to truly receive it.  But, those that did receive it were so destined to, by God, before the foundations of the world.  Now during this age of grace, the same thing is going on.  Debate, discussion, clearer insight..... and no one will get it 100 percent right.  Almost discouraging, but it is God who will finish His work in us and the degree to which we get it right will depend on what He has brought into our life and how He has designed us to receive or reject those things.
