Hi BrucePutting Matthew 24:28 in context.Matthew 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. If you look at the context Jesus is talking to the apostles about what would have happened in their lifetime had they accepted Jesus as their Messiah.Since they did not, God put their program, The Gospel of the Kingdom, on hold until the time of the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.Once the rapture takes place then God turns his attention back to Israel and the final 7 years starts back.Do you believe God has a plan for Israel and that the last 7 years he is dealing with Israel?Do you believe God has a new plan that was a mystery until revealed to Paul for the church, mainly Gentiles?Look at the context:Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation(3.5 years into tribulation), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)Matthew 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea(Israel) flee into the mountains:Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.and then skip down and you see in context Jesus his talking about his second comingMatthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. As you see from above they are going through the Great Tribulation and Jesus is telling the people living in Israel to flee. He is talking to the people saved during the tribulation AFTER the rapture has taken place. It is the second coming NOT the rapture Jesus is talking about. Also please remember in the following that there is no mention of dead in Christ or the church. Only people mentioned are the ones killed DURING the tribulation.Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.It looks like you are putting the church through the Wrath of God. I know some believe that the seals are the wrath of satan but if that were the case why is Jesus the one opening the seals?I cannot believe you do not see this. If you would only do as Paul says in Timothy and "rightly divide the Word" then the confusion would disappear .God has a separate plan for Israel that does not include the Church. We will be gone." in the twinkling of an eye" along with the dead in Christ. This is why we are not mentioned in the 6th and 7th chapter of Revelation nor in Matthew 24.How do we become a part of the rapture?1Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;1Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.1Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;1Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:Now notice this clear rapture verse and compare to Revelation verses above.Notice everyone in the rapture did not die but above in Revelation 6:11 it says wait for your brethren that shall be killed1Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,1Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.Jesus never mentioned to his disciples the dead in Christ shall rise first in Matthew 24.To be saved during the tribulation you MUST obey the Gospel of the Kingdom and more than likely die for your allegience to Jesus. To be included in the rapture you must obey the Gospel of GraceEphesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Please be included in the raptureThanksMike W
