Daniel 9;²⁴ “Seventy ‘sevens’^[c] are decreed for your people and your holy city^(BK) to finish^[d] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone^(BL) for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness,^(BM) to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.^[e]

^{How is it possible, then, that anything Obama does is considered part of the 70th week since that week is SPECIFICALLY Israeli oriented?}

^{From v26 "}The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary."  followed by, " v27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’^[h] In the middle of the ‘seven’^[i] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering."  The "he" here refers to the "ruler who will come."  since Obama is "the ruler" that would make the United States the people who destroyed the city and the sanctuary.  The US didn't do that.

 

The 70 weeks are about Israel and Jerusalem, no one else.

 

A speech by a communist would be president (at the time) cannot be the confirming of a covenant.  IMHO
