Hi:

 

I thrive on questions. I learn new things as I go. I want to understand everything in the Bible, but it has so much in it that no one is able to learn everything. I feel sure that the Lord planned it that way so we would not tire of studying it.

 

I think the silence in Heaven and Earth will be literally half an hour. The silence is in respect for Christ as he is being seated as judge at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

 

Hab_2:20  says, “But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the EARTH KEEP SILENCE before him.”

 

Rev 8:1,2 says,  “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was SILENCE IN HEAVEN about the space of half an hour. 2  And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.”

 

Those are trumpets of judgement. The asteroid Wormwood (Rev 8:11) will impact Earth. Rev 8:3-5 says, “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer (a globe-shaped incense burner); and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.”

 

The two witnesses lie dead in the street 3.5 days. Their whole ministry would be 3.5 years, but the last half of the Tribulation gets shortened to 1040 days (1260 + 1040 = 2300, Dan 8:13,14).

 

The 10 kings get power for a short time near the end of the 2300 days. When the First-Trump Rapture takes place, the 10 kings have not yet been given their kingdom.

 

Rev 17:12-14 says,  “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet (i.e., when the Rapture takes place); but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14  These shall make war with the Lamb (Christ), and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they (i.e., the raptured saints) that ARE WITH HIM are called, and chosen, and faithful.”

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Your response makes sense. That's a good point that
Lag B'Omer is not specifically mentioned in scripture.

I have a different question about Revelation 8. It says, "And there was silence in heaven about
the space of half an hour." Do you think that is earthly time or do you think that is related to
the 4 passages in Rev 17-18 mentioning the kings getting "one hour" of power with
the antichrist and Babylon falling? If the hour equals 7 years of power, then the half hour would
be 3.5 years? Just trying to put it all together. Also, do you think the 2 witnesses lie dead in the
streets for 3.5 days or 3.5 years? Sorry about all the questions. Thanks,
