Jacque,
What came to me as I read your letter where you said the servicemen filed “into a church” and took a seat “in front”  of you was that these were prayer warriors who intercede for the body of Christ and in effect are on the “front” lines of the spiritual battles.
In my estimation, the fact that you had this dream around Memorial Day is symbolic of the above because in the physical realm US servicemen are on the “front” lines fighting for the rest of us and our way of life.
