"GM-
alittle clarification on my post to you"
GM,
I reread the post I sent you and realized that I wasn't thorough
in one part of it which concerns Adam and Eve. Adam may
have been in the garden before Eve, but he was not given the
charge to have dominion....until Eve was at his side.
Therefore the charge to have dominion over the earth came to
"dual rulers", a husband and wife relationship. I guess
this is part of the reason Satan has made one of his focuses,
the assault of the family. Knowing the power that could
come from a Godly partnership in a husband and wife
relationship, he has been on the prowl since the Garden of
Eden. There he attacked Eve and tried to separate
Adam from his wife through the eating of the fruit of the
tree. Really, Adam had no choice but to eat of the tree
after that. He was in trouble no matter if he ate it or
not. The unit was separated and God had told him to cleave
to his wife, but he found her in a state in which he could not
cleave. So Adam chose to become a unit with her again and
since she couldn't come to him, he went to her. His
relationship with God was so tight that he trusted God would
find a way for them to come back to Him. This is also a
picture of Christ in his efforts to find his bride. Christ
finds her with sin and so he offers up himself and takes her sin
on himself, trusting that God will make the way possible for him
to once again come back into fellowship with Him. There
are such beautiful picture in God's word aren't there?
