"Steve Berryman- types in the Bible"

Steve,

I have a question for you, one I am sure you can sink your teeth into and may already have an answer for me.  When looking at t type in the OT, all the facets of the story must fit into the picture of the type.  I know you are aware of that, but I am just phrasing that because I have a piece of the puzzle that isn't making a clear picture.  The OT type that I am referring to is the story of the calling out of Isaacs bride, Rebekkah.  I am aware of most of the symbolism but the part that is tricky is the fact that Rebekkah and her damsels leave together for the new land.  They are riding , by inference, the 10 camels mentioned earlier so that would be ordinal completion of that which is in view, and that of course would be virgins traveling to a new land.  I say virgins because I doubt that a married woman would have left her family behind to travel and stay with Rebekkah in a new land.  Then Rebekkah arrives at the field where Isaac is- with all of her damsels, and she is the only one said to have put her veil on and then she gets off her camel and approaches Isaac.  She leaves them behind in the new land but outside of the intimate area of the families tents........

So, how does this fit in with what you have learned?

And in the Matt. you have the 10 virgins where 5 don't have enough oil and they are told to go to them that SELL and BUY more oil.  Since the Holy Spirit is the symbol in the use of the term oil, who is doing the selling and with what is the buying being done.  I also know that the virgins are christians, simply by the use of the term virgin, so that is not a problem with me.  I also know that to buy something, you must have something of value with which to do it...the value comes in the form of what is of value to the seller.  How does all this fit in with your studies?

Thanks for your time.  Just me wondering
