May 14/15, 1948 = June 5/6, 1975......... AND .......June 5/6, 2012 = May 17/18, 2040When calculating years on the 365/day as we have done on our current calendar, it'spretty amazing that when you convert the 365/day year to the 360/day calendar yearfor our May 14/15, 1948 the date translates to June 5/6, 1975 on the 360/day.............May 14/15, 1948 = June 5/6, 1975Again, when converting our current June 5/6, 2012 year on the 365/day calendar, theaccurate date on the 360/day calendar = May 17/18, 2040.June 5/6, 2012 = May 17/18, 2040What about Leap Years? -Every 4th year there is an extra day added to our calendar. However, this doesn't alteror change the counting of years - at least not according to our calendar counting method. If it would, as an example, 1948 would actually be 1949 years when calculating on the365.25/day year. That would be a perpetual count and would altar the year count considerablyover a long period of time, but that is not how our calendar works.I believe the perpetual count is exactly the form that God arranged in the genealogicalrecord only by using the 360/day count and converting to the 365.25/day calendar instead. However, that is not what our current calendar is based upon. So, for accuracy and as demon-strated above, our May 14/15, 1948 year does translate to June 5/6, 1975 from the 365/daycalendar to the 360/day calendar. The Relevancy of May 14/15, June 5/6 and May 17/18 -May 14/15 -May 14/15 is the date that the Israelites arrived at Mt. Sinai, that is if you interpret thebible passages and arrive at the same date as I have. I believe this is the only way wecan interpret the record as given in Exodus.Exodus 19:1 states: "In the third month (May), after the Israelites left Egypt (March),on the VERY DAY (meaning the day they left - 14/15, is the same day they arrived -14/15 - only 3 months later - May) they came to the Desert of Sinai."May 17/18 -Exodus 19:10-11 then states "And the Lord said to Moses, "Go to the people andconsecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes, and be readyby the third day (May 17), because on that day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinaiin the sight of all the people." Counting the first day of the 15th (they came out on the15th of March) plus 2 days = the 17th.June 5/6 -June 5/6 in the year 1967 was the date for the beginning of the 6-day war with Israel.I don't know the relevancy of all this, except to say that with June 5/6, 2012 beingobserved by many as a possible Rapture date, I found it interesting that when usingthe calendar conversion we find May 14/15, 1948 equals June 5/6 which is the yearthat Israel was once again recognized and restored as a nation. Also, when considering a "2nd Passover" as we recently discovered in Numbers9:6-13, then following with a 2nd Pentecost would bring the date to June 3/4, i.e.April 14/15 + 50 days = June 3/4 which brings us to another possible occasion forthe June 5/6 date.Hosea 6:2 reads "After two days he will revive us, on the third day he will restoreus, that we may live in his presence." Could this mean that the first day of June3rd, the second day of June 4th and the third day of June 5 will be the fulfillment of thisprophecy? Assuming, of course, the two days is a literal two days and not the "thousandyears as a day" theory. Also, recall that the June 5/6, 2012 date corresponds to May 17/18 onthe 360/day calendar as explained above, with the May 17 date once again being the third dayafter the Israelites arrived at Mt. Sinai. What I'm speculating at here is maybe, if the Rapture doesn't happen earlier, the Rapture couldbe on the 3rd (2nd Pentecost date) and the tribulation then starting on the 5th? Just wondering.OR..............................DOES ISRAEL START THE TRIBULATION ON THE SAME DATE WHEN THEBABYLON CAPTIVITY BEGAN? WILL THE FINAL 7 YEARS OF THE 490 YEARSBEGIN WHERE THE INITIAL PUNISHMENT FOR NOT KEEPING SABBATHS(70 YRS.) BEGAN/ENDED OVER 2600 YEARS AGO?After suffering 70 years of captivity Israel still didn't honor the Sabbaths as required byGod. Consequently, after suffering the 70 year Babylon Captivity, God pronounced 490years upon Israel. 483 of those years have been completed with 7 remaining. The Bible teaches that the actual date of the 3rd Babylon Deportation happened on theseventh day in the fifth month (July 7) - see 2 Ki. 25:19. This date began the literal 70 yearsof the Babylon Captivity. Now, recall that on the 3rd day when God came down and spoke to the people (May 17),afterwards, Moses was called up to Mt. Sinai to see God again. He then cameback down as the Lord commanded and gave instructions to the Israelites as the Lord toldhim to do. The next day he went back up to the mountain and stayed for 7days afterwhich He came down to speak with the people again according to God's instructions.Again he went back up to the mountain and stayed for 40 days upon which timeGod gave him the 10 Commandments written in stone, carved with His own finger. That's when Moses came down and saw the "Golden Calf" and broke the tabletswith the writing of the 10 Commandments. That time frame begins May 17 and ends July 4 - 3 days before the infamous date whenthe 3rd Babylon Deportation began and the final 70 years of captivity. May 17 is also when the"Covenant" was "confirmed" - see Exodus 24:1-3. The next morning Moses builtan altar as a sign of the "confirmation" - Exodus 24:4 - May 18. From the confirmationof the covenant to July 7 is 50 days.Note that it was on the final 40th day (July 4) when God is now instructing Moses regardingthe "sabbaths" - see Exodus 31:12-18. God then goes into detail regarding thepunishment for disobedience. 70 years punishment or 70 x 7 yrs. is recorded and detailedin Leviticus 26: 14-35. This, of course, is what happened to Israel for their failure tokeep the Sabbaths and as a result the 70 year Babylon Captivity was iniflicted uponthem - July 7.So, here we are at the end of the first 40 days Moses spent with God which is theJuly 4th date as stated earlier. Strange, isn't it, that July 4 just happens to be 3 daysbefore the date that the 70 year Babylon Captivity began - July 7? And all because Israeldidn't keep the "Sabbaths" and as a result suffered tremendously as God statedthey would - for 70 years. The same date God is warning about what consequenceswould occur for disobedience is just 3 days prior to the July 7 date when the extremepunishment of the Babylon Captivity occurred.Back to the 3-days of Hosea. Could these 3 days involve a time frame for whenMoses and Elijah establish their ministry and during the first 2 days Israel is being"revived" and finally on the 3rd day is "restored" and has the blindness from theireyes removed - thus starting the tribulation and the 3 1/2 year ministry of Mosesand Elijah alongside the 144,000? Will the final 7 years begin on the historical dayof July 7, 2012? Time will tell.In any event, we know His coming is very near and we wait with eager anticipationknowing He will not disappoint and will appear at the appointed time.Keep looking up!JudithMay 26, 2012CALENDAR QUESTIONS:Beginning with Adam, no one knows with 100% accuracy exactly what day we are on inGod's divine order of events throughout these thousands of years. I can't help but believethat there is actually more than one operating calendar that God has set in motion, and wonder,is our current calendar one that is God ordained? I've seen this questions asked repeatedly, some wondering how far off we are on our calendar - a sensible and normal question to be sure.God's system of dating events, as demonstrated in Leviticus, has given us one method ofkeeping the feasts, etc. However, could there be definitive dates that God holds in specialhonor for the celebration of major feasts, i.e. Passover, Penecost, etc.? I believe there arethese established and appointed set dates that will be remembered throughout eternity.Example:The first Passover occured exactly, to the day, after 400/430 years, on March 14/15. Howdo we know this? The Bible is explicite in giving us specific details in this regard. SeeGenesis 12:40-41 - "Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years. At the end of the 430 years, TO THE VERY DAY (meaning from March 14/15 to March 14/15),all the Lord's divisions left Egypt." Any other method other than calculating on the 360/daycycle simply will not accomplish the exact time frame as introduced in this passage of scripture. For that reason, along with others that I won't develop here, I believe each year, on the initial dateof Passover, March 14/15, and without making calendar adjustments, that date is recognized byGod as one of HIs primary appointed dates and will be an honored day for eternity. And evenmore so because Jesus died on that specific date - March 14/15, (i.e. the 1st month) IMO.Picture this if you will, imagine our heavenly gathering in recognition of one of the mostmemorable dates in history. What day will it fall on? It's been a different day every year. Therewon't be moon or sun to calculate any of the feasts, so to me it's pretty obvious that God hasan appointed date that doesn't require adjustments to satisfy requirements made in Leviticus. He has established as a permanent fixed time and date March 14/15 as a celebratory date for allof eternity, IMO.However, for purposes other than explained above, we have the need to reckon calendarchanges each year so that the annual feasts conform to the exact time-frame Godestablished for us in Leviticus. Accordingly, Passover as well as the other feasts occur ondifferent dates each year. So how do we know if our current dating system is actually in line withGod's appointed times? It seems to me that God has designed our system and has workedsovereignly to create our calendar as a working calendar in conjunction with His divinelyappointed dates. A good example is the May 14/15, 1948 year in which Israel came togetheragain as a nation. An appointed time in God's program and divinely inspired. When working on the calendar system from that time-frame (1948), we have come to our presentcourse in history that God has ordained and I don't believe we're off one day since He hasperfected it for His Glory and Honor. That is not to say that there aren't other operationalcalendars, but each one, IMO, will ultimately lead us to the miraculous May 14/15, 1948 date. For these reasons, I believe we need to calculate from the initial dates recorded in Leviticuswhen determining specifically what time-frame we are currently in - that means without makingcalendar adjustments - again IMO.Anyway, I've enjoyed this discussion with myself! laugh!Again, keep looking up - He's as eager as we are to bring us home.Judith
