"Exodus 19: "Get Ready
For The Third Day" : The Matchless Day"
Dear Doves,
In the times of Moses and Aaron
the people who had left Egypt were given two days to prepare
before the third day, the day the wedding vows were spoken and
accepted between YHVH and the House of Israel. These were SET
APART DAYS for preparation, quietude, reflection, prayer, and
rest. These were not ordinary days, work days. The third day was
THE DAY of miraculous signs and wonders we read about in Exodus
19. Exodus 19:16 states the following. "On the morning of the
third day, thunder roared and lightening flashed, and a dense
cloud came down on the mountain. There was a loud, long blast
from a ram's horn, and all the people trembled. Exodus 19:18
states that "the whole mountain shook violently." Each person
had respect, reverence, and fear of the Lord amidst the signs
and wonders of The Matchless Day.
Just ahead on 5-26 to 28 is a
weekend, a Three Day period which includes the weekly Shabbat of
day 7, then days 1 and 2 of Shavuot (Pentecost), like additional
Sabbaths. What should these days, like three Sabbath Days of
Rest, include if they go into The Matchless Day? Any unnecessary
work, building, planting, yard work, heavy lifting, painting,
errands, extensive cooking, or shopping? What of the digital
life on telephones, computers, music players, and televisions?
What will be wise to do and wise to avoid?
Into eternity, many will ask
others the same question. Where were you and what did you do on
The Matchless Day, THE DAY of The Blessed Hope? The following
will be some of the activities, the sins, on THE DAY of those
found not to "have the strength" of those found "not worthy" to
stand before the son of man. One got falling down drunk, another
watched filth on television, another committed fornication,
another searched for pornography on the world wide web, another
craved and spread gossip. Choosing for sins and spiritual
tragedy on The Matchless Day? MANY will be MORTIFIED on THE DAY.
What if there are three priceless days for us, as there were for
the congregation meeting at the base of Mt. Sinai? After The
Rapture, we shall be asked into eternity. Where were you? What
did you think, see, say, and do? On The Matchless Day of The
Blessed Hope? Might we be offered special REST DAYS, final SET
APART DAYS before we are transformed in the power of HIS
RESURRECTION ? The Wedding of the Ages? What days? Carnal days?
NO. Pagan days? NO. Profane days? NO. Our fleeting hours to flee
the Mystery, Babylon the Great. Our minutes to abandon Sodom.
Ponder our blessed exits. Will the shofar, the trumpet, soon
sound for us "loud, long blast" on The Matchless Day? Come
quickly, Lord...
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
