"TO
GERRY ALMOND RE: MAY 3RD POST"
Hi Gerry,
I always enjoy reading your post. I absolutely appreciate
your call for us to holy, and for His bride to remain without
spot or blemish. Amen! I agree.
When I read your May 3rd post on 1 Cor. 3, I'm was in agreement
until you said that our salvation is secure, even if the whole
house burns down, for the foundation (Christ) remains. I guess
it does matters how we interpret the gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, and stubble. What the Holy Spirit has
shown me is that these things represent the things of the world
(the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of
life). If we believe our salvation is secure, then this
leaves absolutely no expectation for the believer to live
according to His expectation, that is, to cease from doing the
sins of the flesh.
The Bride of Christ are only them that have ceased from doing
the sins of the flesh! That's His expectation, for He
knows what His Spirit can do!!! "...faith that works by
love" (Gal. 5: 6).
"Whosoever abides in Him sins not: whosover sins has not seen
Him; neither known Him" (1 Jn. 3: 6).
"And he that has this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He
is pure" (1 Jn. 3: 3).
In Christ,
Greg
