"Don Henry: So
sorry for my over-sight"
Dear Don, I don't know how I missed your reply to my
question about the "He" in Daniel but I am so glad I have now run
across it. Please forgive my over-sight.
Your reply confirms my own suspicions and puts a whole different
spin on this whole teaching....in fact....it frees one up to see
that Daniel's prophecy concerning "He" has been fulfilled and that
changes the barriers that have been put upon what has to happen
first, etc. I will be studying your reply,
below, in more depth.
I thank you so much and again, so sorry for the over-sight.
It really made me happy to find this.

Don Henry (26 Apr 2012)
"To Gerlinda: Confirmed the New Covenant"
Gerlinda, I think the "He" in Daniel 9:27 is
Jesus that confirmed the New Covenant with the many. He is the one
that became our salvation by his death on the cross and
resurrection on the third day. It was the Acceptable Year, or
Appointed Time. God had a plan and set it in motion at the
beginning of time. The End of Time is also an appointed time--we
just don't know the exact day and hour so we must watch the signs
that Jesus gave us.
Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks are determined upon
thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal
up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
These are 70 weeks of days. I don’t see weeks
of weeks, which would add up to 490 years. These are 490 days.
Luke 4:17-21 “There was delivered unto him the
book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he
found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is
upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the
poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach
deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable
year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to
the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all that were in the
synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them,
This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
The year [490 days] of the Lord began at his
baptism and ended at Pentecost. That was 490 days. The Acceptable
Year was the year he was crucified and arose. The building of the
3rd Temple began at Pentecost.
Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that
from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build
Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and
threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the
wall, even in troublous times.
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall
Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: [in the midst of the 63rd
week] and the people of the prince [Titus] that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be
with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are
determined. [27] And he [Jesus] shall confirm the [New] Covenant
with many for one week [63rd week was Passion Week]: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to
cease [by his death and resurrection], and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the
consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the
desolate.”
He became our High Priest of the New Covenant
and there was no more need for animal sacrifice.
Hebrews 6:20 “Where the forerunner is for us
entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order
of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 8:1 “Now of the things which we have
spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on
the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Acts 7:56 “Behold, I [Peter] see the heavens
opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”
