"Re: Rowina"

I just caught (read) your post on (5 May 2012) "Defending Robert B."
While reading your letter, I sensed you are creative and talented Mariel.    You and Robert B. came at it from a truly empathetic and informative viewpoint.
I wrote mine, because I personally know the sheer terror of Hell.

It was April of 2008, President Bush's final year in office.
I had been praying, and fasting, for a few days, and was very sleep deprived.
I decided to end my fast, but then I heard a breaking weather bulletin calling for a super-cell outbreak of tornadic activity in the state of Tennessee.
I kept fasting, trying to pray against bad weather, but I could feel myself drifting off to sleep.  All I wanted was slumber.
As I drifted off, with my eyes closed, I had the sense in my spirit, of a group of men entering in through the back door of my residence.
I thought to myself, 'I know I locked the door, I'm just really sleepy.'
When they got over, to where I lay on the couch, I immediately knew of their raging demonic presense.  It wasn't men, that I had sensed coming in, it was demonic spirits.  They weren't there to deceive me at all but to intimidate.
And it wasn't fear I felt, but sheer sheer terror.  There are no words to describe it.  I could never have imagined the feeling in my life.
I kept my eyes clenched tightly shut, I was not going to take a chance on seeing with my vision, what I sensed was standing right beside me.
I knew my thoughts could be heard by God, and I kept saying over, over, 'They can't touch me in the name of Jesus Christ, they can't touch me in the name of Jesus Christ, they can't touch me in the name of Jesus Christ.'
The third time I said it in my thoughts, either the Lord himself showed up or an Angel of the Lord.
As soon as the thought left me for the 3rd time, I was sound asleep, a real bonafide miracle.
There's just no way I could have found peace on my own that night.
And the next morning, though I wanted to analyze what had happened to me the evening before, I strongly threw it down, so the memory wouldn't have a stronghold for my future rest.

You wrote: "I too am tired of standing up for a cause which has few adherents."
We all get a little 'tired and frayed around the edges.'
But there is so much Joy in service to the Lord!
God Bless, Mariel!
