"re: Enoch and Elijah
are dead"
Greetings!
I’m not sure who the two witnesses are but in my opinion, you
haven’t made your case.
You mention Hebrew 11:13 but omitted Hebrews 11:5. It states:
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did
not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had
taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as
one who pleased God.
You mention the following:
Ps 89:48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death?
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die (what about
Lazarus?)
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die (what about you and me? I plan
on being raptured…hopefully soon!)
These verses do not disqualify Enoch or Elijah from being the
two witnesses since the 2 witnesses die!
You also mention that Elijah wasn’t taken to the 3rd heaven…I
don’t know where exactly he was taken. Does it matter?
Even if he wasn’t taken to the 3rd heaven, it doesn’t mean God
hasn’t kept him alive somewhere else. We just don’t know enough…
Peace,
Malia

"To Patti C. Re: The Two Witnesses + Enoch & Elijah are
dead"
Greetings Patti C.,
I can’t take credit for this study but it’s been so long ago I
don’t remember where I got it and there was no mention of who
wrote it.
What about Elijah and Enoch??
Most point to Elijah and Enoch because of the myth that they
never died but were translated directly to heaven. This myth
makes Yahshua a liar (see Jn 3:13) and shows ignorance of the
complete scriptures. They quote Mal 4:5-6 as support unaware it
was fulfilled almost word for word in Lu 1:17. Hebrews chapter
11 specifically tells us Enoch and all the prophets including
Elijah “all died in faith, not having received the promises)
(verse 13).
Elijah was taken up into ‘shaw-mah’- yim’ (Strong’s #08065
heaven, air, sky, atmosphere, etc.) but not into the third
heaven mentioned by Paul where Yahweh and the angles are. Elisha
reluctantly sent out a search party “lest perhaps the Spirit of
Yahweh has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into
some valley." Elijah was transported by God just as Phillip was
in Acts 8:39. Several years later Elijah (his location is not
given) wrote a letter (2Chr 21:12-15), the contents showing it
was written after the events had transpired and before the
plague struck.
Ps 89:48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death?
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die
Because God didn’t include all the details with Enoch and Elijah
it opens it up to speculators with private interpretations who
ignore the scriptures which debunk their theories.
Shalom,
David
