Like FDR said about the Pearl Harbor Invasion that compelled the USA to enter WWII in his declaration of war speech, which I quote from here:

"Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."

I have my own "date that will live in infamy".

That date is May 17th. The year was 1991.

I rewrite the above quotation:

"Years ago, Friday May 17, 1991—a date which will live in infamy—my family and myself were suddenly and deliberately attacked by satanic forces of the Empire of the devil."

Like the USA, a battle was long brewing, which I did not really grasp, than exploded on that date. It is impossible to overstate the brutal and violent attack that befell us. It's complexity and mind-blowing irrationality beggars description. Everything we knew and loved was plunged beneath a vast sea of fear, violence and insanity. It is also impossible to understate the Grace of God that was extended to us, myself particularly, and still is.

Other than my own conversion to Christ in the late 70's, and the experience that started on Friday December 5, 1997, this event alone defined how I and my family would live until this day. The reader must understand that I cannot share details as they are too personal. This battle still rages in many many ways - but the Lord Jesus will have the last word to His Own Glory, Amen!

To say that Ascension Day May 17, 2012 would be a great day for the Catching Away, from my perspective, would be an understatement. I would view as a kind of redemption, as it were - but the Lord's Will be done, not my will, above all else, to the praise of the Glory of His Grace.

It is clear that the Crucifixion and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus dealt the prophesied death blow to the devil and his own, and it is also clear that this battle will rage until the End when satan will have his just and earned reward, an eternal torment in the lake of fire.

Here is the final End from the Word which the glorious Church, the true believers in the earth look forward to and rejoice in -

Philippians 2:9-11
"Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
