Yes, what a glorious day that will be when all of us dwell in peace together with the animals.  I can't wait!
 
I lost my most precious dog in 2008 to an undiagnosed heart condition. I was devastated!  He was only 4 years old.  (I have 5 more dogs now).  I made a memorial to Tigger in the back yard and had a granite headstone made with his picture engraved.  The inscription says, "May Your Face Be the First One I See in Heaven" (after Jesus, of course).
 
DOG is GOD spelled backwards and, in my humble opinion, they are the only creatures that offer the same unconditional love as the Lord.  Surely, they are very important in heaven and someday, those who abuse them will be held accountable.
