Doves,
At first I didn't think this dream was anything more than another weird dream and after sharing it quickly with my wife Linda, I said "I wonder what it means..." and suddenly the meaning just burst into my understanding and "flowed" (thanks, Mark Virkler) to completion.
In the dream I heard a wise teacher say that God will be to you what you want to believe Him to be. That is if, like the servant who hid his master's coin, you want to believe that God is a "froward" or hard to please master, and one who just enjoys seeing you struggle and go through tests etc. then He will be that to you. If on the other hand you choose to see God as kind and loving and helpful and present to reward you in your quests to please Him, He will manifest Himself in your endeavors to be just that to your good. I feel like my attempt to describe this is pale compared to the way the teacher in my dream said it because it was very alive and powerful and I became so excited at hearing it even though I felt that I had already known this, yet it was like a powerful affirmation and so I resolved to remove far from me all negative thoughts concerning God and His intentions toward me and only focus on the good He has for me and know that He is with me for good even in all trials and tests.
Next I found myself willingly giving up my computer and letting it go into a machine that destroys it in some public place where they do this for you, I guess like when you get a new one and you want the old one erased but I had not gotten a new one and don't know why I would want to destroy my existing one. All I know is after it was destroyed, I immediately realized what I had done and was inconsolable over the loss of my computer. I cried like a baby who just lost all his toys at once and was throwing a tantrum. All I could think was, "No more Five Doves, waaah, no way to keep up with what is going on now... What am I going to do now?!" A tremendous sense of loss.
Next I find myself with a group of others entering a large complex like an airport with lots of people going to and fro and we enter on the ground level in a sort of side-door area through some sort of kitchen where food is being prepared by highly trained culinary experts for high level people but to my horror, I see that what is being prepared so delicately are young cute monkeys, some of which are still alive and looking very fearful. But others are already nearly finished plates even being "garnished" with certain body parts from the monkeys such as rows of teeth to make it look artful etc. I was repulsed and horrified and wanted to expose this to someone and once again I was all excited and having an emotional upheaval as we moved from that place and up an elevator several floors to the main large lobby of this huge place and with all the people rushing to and fro I was finally able to get someone to listen to me and he didn't believe me. This man was dressed nicely but with a white smock like a professor in a lab or a doctor wears. So I offered to show him where I had just come from so he could see it for himself. I began to walk quickly to lead him back down to that kitchen but as I looked back to make sure he was still following me, I saw him back a ways talking to someone else as if he had forgotten about me and showed no sign of still intending to come with me to see the proof.
Next, I realized it was no use so I just wanted to get away from this place and I found a guy who offered to drive me from there but his car was old and uncomfortable. It took several attempts to get my seat belt buckled until I saw that I was linking to the wrong one but then I finally found the right one and buckled it. I felt like the car barely drove and the driver was sort of distracted and I wondered if it was safe to travel with him but at least I was leaving so I didn't complain.
Now here is what I think it means. The part that I wondered to my wife what it could mean was about the monkeys. And what I got was that they represent the masses to the elite. They see us as "trousered apes" or cattle or sheeple good for nothing but to be their food and the labor for their prosperity. They live deliciously off of our lives and consume us with delight and relish and even use our substance to garnish their plate etc. This activity was going on not in total guarded secret for we entered it with little trouble even though they would rather not be exposed but when I tried to get this to be widely uncovered, it was not believed and though there was at least some interest by the guy who was following me, he was quickly distracted by some other person and forgot all about me and my attempt to expose this. Just like in reality, anyone who wants to can follow the trail and see for themself what is really going but few do.
I felt like the place where this was happening could have been like the Denver International Airport and the fact that the "kitchen" was below the main lobby was to show that it was taking place underground. Also it was easy enough for us to enter and see for ourselves what was going on as they were not really trying to hide it but trying to get someone else to come and see for them-self was very hard because they just were not really interested or didn't really believe it could be true.
I think the part about the computer being destroyed was to show that the freedoms we have been enjoying of sharing and receiving information so freely is going to end. And when it does it will be sudden and the sense of loss will be profound. The sense of having a reaction like a baby whose toys have been taken away immediately brought to mind that cute commercial where the baby is in his crib with a modern IPad or something looking on-line when his mom takes it away and he is upset etc. and complains that his dog wouldn't even warn him.
In all of this though there is the underlying reminder that God is still there and how one views God will determine his own good or bad in the end. The kingdom of God is within you and not of this world. We are not of this world. His peace Jesus gives not as the world gives, let not your heart be troubled. Peace that passes understanding.
