`Do you remember when we were kids we would play
that game where person #1 whispered something into
someone's ear, then person #2 whispered
what they heard into the ear of person #3, etc.
By the time it made it all the around the circle
it was something completely different that then
initial sentence?
There are other translations written BEFORE the KJV
that also disagree with the KJV.
Daniel 11:37 He shal not regarde the God of his
fathers, but his lust shall be vpon wome: Yee he shal
not care for eny God, for he shal magnifie himself
aboue all.
(Coverdale)
11:37
He shall not regard the God of his fathers, but
his lust shall be upon women: Yea he shall not care
for any God, for he shall magnify himself above all.
(Tyndale..and Mathews Bible)
So, according to the pre-KJV he is far from being a
homosexual.
Here's a good website that gives you the older
translations.
Many blessings,
Angie

"nor the
desire of women.. Bad translation???! AC not
gay."
Hi Doves,
The King James bible shows us that the AC
won´t have interest in women.
But, there are several translations!
|
New
international version (1984)
He will show no regard
for the gods of his fathers or for the one
desired by women,
nor will he regard any god, but
will exalt himself above them
all.
New
living translation (2007)
He will have no
respect for the gods of his
ancestors, or for the god
loved by women,
or for any other god, for he
will boast that he is greater
than them all.
English
standard version (2001)
He shall pay no
attention to the gods of his
fathers, or to the one
beloved by women.
He shall not pay attention to
any other god, for he shall
magnify himself above all.
|
|
So, maybe the AC is not gay but he doesn´t
love God (the God who is loved by women).
That´s the way I see it.
sincerely ,
Desiré van der Kruk
