“CONFIRMING THE COVENANT” - The Coming Palestinian-Israeli Treaty

 

DANIEL 9v27

“He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

 

CURRENT OBSERVATIONS

POINT 1: It is interesting to hear all the latest talk about Israel being asked to return to it's pre-1967 borders as a condition for 'peace' and the establishment of the new Palestinian State -most likely going to be declared in September; if not by the Quartet (US, EU, UN, Russia ) then by a UN Decree. We'll see. What makes this condition suicidal for Israel is that it would make its borders defenseless geographically, at one point it would only be 8 miles wide!

 

POINT 2: What most would not realize -if not for Biblical scholarship and prophecy students to note, it that such a condition would also render the Old City, and particularly the Temple Mount back to full Arab control!  In the 6-Day war, 1967, the Temple Mount was recaptured by Israel, 1897 years after the prophesied destruction spoken by Jesus (Mark 18) at the hands of Titus, the Roman Prince in AD 70. In a twist of politics, the Temple Mount was then given over to Arab Administration by Moshe Dayan.

 

REVELATION 11

1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2  But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

 

POINT 3: In the coming Palestinian state, East Jerusalem's Moslem Quarter would no doubt be the capital but the Dome of Rock -Temple Mount could be divided to allow for a Jewish 3rd Temple as part of a Treaty? As would the city of Jerusalem also be divided since 1967 and the entire nation for that mater. We'll see.

 

LUNAR TETRADS

Ironically next month in June, Israel will be celebrating the 44th Anniversary of the 6-Day War of '67. What is also most notable is that during that time-frame in 1967-68, there was a 4 Total Lunar Tetrad (Blood Moons) falling exactly on the Jewish feast! It mirrors the coming 4 Tetrads of 2014-15!

 

-1967: Passover: April 24 -Tabernacles: October 18

-1968: Passover: April 13 -Tabernacles: October   6

 

- Israel as the Fig Tree:   1948 + 70 = 2018  Matthew 24

- Last of 120 Jubilees:     1967 + 50 = 2017  Genesis    6

 

POINT 4: Some prior Biblical studies have speculated that the event of Israel becoming a state in 1948       signaled the ‘countdown’ to the “LAST GENERATION”. Also the re-capturing of the Temple Mount was what many speculate is the start of the “Last Jubilee” (50th); it was on Pentecost or a week earlier-depending on what calendar you use and that it was on the 3rd Day. Later on it fulfilled the Jubilee Year at the Feast of Atonement, 1967. The 7th Jewish Holiday Tetrad Lunar Eclipse sequence of the 1st and 2nd Millenniums   began weeks before the 6 Day War and the Israeli capture of Jerusalem, the 8th and final one will be in 2014-15. Will this take place in Daniel’s long awaited 7th “Seven” Week?!

 

POINT 5: Could the Blood Moons have a correlation? It so happens that on June 15, 2011 after the 44th celebration of the 6-Day War, a week later from the Jewish observance of Shavout (June 8th Pentecost) you have a Blood Moon, a ’bull’s-eye’ rare Central Lunar Eclipse not to come again until exactly 7 years later! Could this be Daniel’s prelude to the last ‘Seven’ of Daniel 9? Could the “Abomination of Desolation”  that Daniel alludes to be set up during this future event and what he was referring to?

 

FACTS ABOUT THE WAR:

Also known as the June War, 1967 Arab-Israeli War or Third Arab-Israeli War. Rather than wait to be attacked as Arab armies amassed, the Israelis launched a Preemptive Strike. On the third day of the war, June 7, 1967, Israeli Defense Forces paratroopers seized control of the Western Wall (The Temple Mount), the remnant of Solomon's temple. In an emotional moment, General Rabbi Shlomo Goren, the Chief Chaplain of the IDF blew a long note on the Shofar (rams horn), announcing the release of the Western Wall and the old city of Jerusalem; not heard since A.D. 70. By the end of the war, Israel had:

-tripled its land size

-unified Jerusalem

-captured the Sinai from Egypt

-captured the Golan Heights from Syria

-captured the Gaza Strip from Palestinians

-captured the West Bank (Samaria)

 

PLAYERS:

Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the PLO, backing from the armies of Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and aided by the Soviet Union vs. Israel with US military support/equipment. (Echoes of Psalm 83 & Ezekiel 39)
