Revelation 22:7  Behold I  come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Revelation 22: 12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to [give] every man according [as his work shall be.] KJV
Note:...it does NOT [say] according to his works[ plural]
but rather : according as his work SHALL BE.

It is a REWARD to have WORK for our Lord. And when he comes we will be rewarded with the work he bestows upon each of us who overcomes in this world.
