"ANOTHER 'COMMERATIVE DATE' LATE IN THE MONTH OF NISAN......"
Dear Doves,
Scripture does not give us information for 'no good reason'. There is a
'good reason' for all information given to us in Scripture, including
dates:
Daniel 10:4
"On the twenty-fourth day of the first month (Nisan 24) as I was
standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris, I looked up and
there before me was a MAN DRESSED IN LINEN, WITH A BELT OF THE FINEST
GOLD AROUND HIS WAIST. HIS BODY WAS LIKE CHRYSOLITE, HIS FACE WAS LIKE
LIGHTNING, HIS EYES LIKE FLAMING TORCHES, HIS ARMS AND LEGS LIKE THE
GLEAM OF BURNISHED BRONZE, AND HIS VOICE LIKE THE SOUND OF A
MULTITUDE."
This man was certainly the Angel of the Lord, and was most probably
Jesus, Himself, before His being born into the world as flesh and
blood. Nisan 24 is later in the "first month", and is exactly ten days
after the date of Passover Nisan 14. It is noteworthy that this Angel
of the Lord appeared to Daniel in the "first month" of Nisan to give
Daniel information about the 'end times'. There are eleven other months
of the year he could have chosen, and why the 24th specifically?
Daniel 10:14
"Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come."
Daniel 10:31
"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and
will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination
that causes desolation.
Daniel 12:11
"From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the
abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days."
Will this 1,290 day-count be from a 'specific day' in the 'first month'
of Nisan? There are exactly 1,290 days from the Spring Equinox, Palm
Sunday Nisan 10 (March 20, 2016) to and including the Feast of Trumpets
September 30, 2019.
Come Lord Jesus!
