"is not the word of God eternal?"

Do not the scriptures show that word of God is eternal?

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

(How did Abraham know about the heavenly city, "which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"?)

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

(Did Abraham get a peek in the book? Did he get a peek at Revelation 21?)

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
  19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

Hebrews 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

(In Hebrews 11:26, it says, “Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt”.
So how did Moses know about the reproach of Christ?
Perhaps the same way that Abraham knew about New Jerusalem, perhaps the same way that Moses got the pattern of the tabernacle.)

Exodus 25:40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Numbers 8:4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

(How was Moses shown the pattern?
Would it not have been the same way that the LORD gave David the pattern for the temple?)

I Chronicles 28:11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,
2 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

(The LORD showed David the pattern “in writing”, not in blueprint, nor even by a vision of the temple, but “in writing”.
Where is the written pattern of the temple?
It is found in I Kings chapters 6 and 7, and in II Chronicles chapters 3 and 4.
How did David get to see the written pattern of the temple, before any man, moved by the Holy Ghost, penned down, on earth, I Kings or II Chronicles?)

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

(The word of God is eternal, and is eternally with the eternal God.
Then at his designated times, the LORD moved men, by his Spirit, to write down what has always been forever in heaven.
Similarly, the pattern of the tabernacle is written in Exodus 25:20 – 27:21.
So, was Moses given a peek of the book of Exodus, before he, himself, penned down anything, later?
Why not, since the book of Exodus is eternally with the LORD in eternity?
If so, then that could explain how Hebrews 11:26 said that Moses knew about the reproach of Christ.
The way he could know about the reproach of Christ, is the same way we do, from Isaiah 53.
Did Moses get a peek of Isaiah 53, by the LORD showing him the word of God that is eternally in heaven?

When the angel was sent to Daniel, to let him know about what was to happen, he said something interesting:)

Daniel 10:20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Daniel 11:1 Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.
2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

(The angel said that he was going to show Daniel what was already noted in the scripture of truth.
He then went on to speak the exact words to Daniel, which we find written in the book of Daniel.
The angel quoted from the scriptures, which was already written in the eternal word of God,
the exact words that the Holy Ghost inspired, which we, centuries later, find written down in chapter 11 of the book of Daniel.
So is it too hard to realize how Abraham could know about the New Jerusalem, or how David was shown the pattern of the temple in writing,
or how Moses was similarly shown the pattern of the tabernacle, or how Moses knew about the reproach of Christ?)

(Then there is the following:)

Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

(It has, “the scripture saith”, rather than, “Moses said”.
Does that not show that the scripture, the written word of God, was in existence before Moses ever wrote anything down?
Would that not mean, then, that the five books that Moses penned, were not the “original”, but a copy of the original that the LORD has in eternity?
Has not the word of God always been with the LORD, and always will be?
Is not the LORD outside of time? Is he not eternal?
So why is it so hard to think that his word would be the same?)

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Acts 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
