"The way of peace when
your child is taken from you."
If you have children, there are precious promises freely given
to us by the Lord Jesus; if you teach them these precepts, put a
melody to these words and sing them together.
For if your child will know, understand, and retain the
Lord's lively oracles in his or her heart, and is able to bring
them to remembrance, and they express joy in speaking and
singing of them to others, and if then the Lord Jesus shall take
your child away from you at his appointed time, which you will
find to be too soon, I know with certainty you will have the
peace of God which passeth all understanding.
Psalm 119:54
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Proverbs 4:4
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my
words: keep my commandments, and live.
Jesus is God the Father and understanding this is required for
salvation.
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth.
(the word (a) in John 4:24 is singular).
John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are
life.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Psalm 145:18
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that
call upon him in truth.
Matthew 22:
[41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked
them,
[42] Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say
unto him, The Son of David.
[43] He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him
Lord, saying,
[44] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till
I make thine enemies thy footstool?
[45] If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
[46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any
man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
1 John 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but)
he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.
(The person who is the Son of God is eternal, but he did not
become the Son until God, who is a Spirit, a Holy Spirit, was
manifested in the flesh at God's appointed time.).
(These 3 words are not found set in this order: (God the Son),
there is found: (Son of God), if there was a (God the Son) that
would mean such a person was always a Son and this statute would
be a lie):
Hebrews 1:5
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my
Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him
a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
(The (he) that was manifested to take away our sins in 1John 3:5
is the (Father) in 1John 3:1):
1 John 3:
[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon
us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the
world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
[2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear,
we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
[3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself,
even as he is pure.
[4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin
is the transgression of the law.
[5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins;
and in him is no sin.
Isaiah 45:
[21] Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel
together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath
told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God
else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside
me.
[22] Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:
for I am God, and there is none else.
[23] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in
righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee
shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Philippians 2:10
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
(These 3 names are the names of one person, and all
interpretations belong to God, and we find the interpretation by
rightly dividing the word of truth by going precept upon
precept. Job gave a great witness and testimony and warning when
he gave the interpretation of 1John 5:7 in Job 13:6 to 10):
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Job 13:
[6] Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my
lips.
[7] Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for
him? [8] Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
[9] Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man
mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
[10] He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept
persons.
(Jesus fulfilled Job's warning when he corrected and reproved
Philip who at one time thought there to be 2 Lords and warned
the Jews they would die in their sins if they did not believe
Jesus to be the Father):
John 14:
[8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it
sufficeth us.
[9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and
yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath
seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 8:
[24] I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins:
for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
[25] Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto
them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
[26] I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that
sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I
have heard of him.
[27] They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
John 4:22
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for
salvation is of the Jews.
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth.
Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Zechariah 13:6
And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine
hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in
the house of my friends.
John 20:
[24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with
them when Jesus came.
[25] The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen
the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands
the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the
nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
John 20:
[26] And after eight days again his disciples were within, and
Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and
stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
[27] Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and
behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into
my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
[28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Revelation 1:
[7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,
and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth
shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith
the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty.
1 Corinthians 15:
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye
stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures:
[5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
[6] After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at
once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but
some are fallen asleep.
1 Timothy 6:
[14] That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable,
until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: [15] Which in his
times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the
King of kings, and Lord of lords;
[16] Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no
man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to
whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Deuteronomy 6:
[4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
[5] And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in
thine heart:
[7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and
shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when
thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou
risest up.
[8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and
they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and
on thy gates.
Philippians 4:
[7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
[8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things
are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
[9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and
heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with
you.
Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God
to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for
refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Acts 27:25
Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it
shall be even as it was told me.
2 Samuel 12:
[21] Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that
thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it
was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat
bread.
[22] And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and
wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to
me, that the child may live?
[23] But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring
him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to
me.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.
1 Thessalonians 4:
[13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as
others which have no hope.
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
[15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we
which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not
prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ
shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort
one another with these words.
