John and Doves,
wherein guests speak on various topics
24/7. One guest
---Leslie Walters Shelton---
spoke on persevering no matter what,
especially when under demonic
attack.
She told of a Pastor who was visited by
a demonic spirit who appeared to him.
In the name of Jesus, he commanded the demon
to leave. Instead, the demon stared him down with a very
determined look. The Pastor rephrased his command for what
felt like 40 minutes. Finally the devil left him. What
lesson can we learn from his
experience?
Well, the book of ACTS has
examples of casting out devils:
1.We learn that we have to have a personal
relationship with Jesus when performing exorcism.
2. We learn to use the powerful name of Jesus.
3. And we learn that we co- partner with God
by appropriating His authority that He delegated to
us, alongside His power.
Luke 9:1...
"Then He called His 12 disciples together and
gave them *power and authority over all devils*,
and to cure disceases."
In Acts 16:16--18, the Apostle Paul cast out a
demon by saying,
" *I command thee* in the name of Jesus
Christ..."
Notice that 2 persons are involved in the
exorcism...
God and yourself.
God delegates to you to appropriate the gift
of exorcism He has given you. You stare the devil down. You
stand your ground and the devil must flee in the name of
Jesus Christ.
And I also plead the blood of Jesus Christ,
when binding and rebuking demons during
my prayertime.
Leslie speaks of how the devil works here and
there, *daily wearing you down*, little by little, until he
can get you to give up. Don 't.
"The little foxes that spoil the vines" Song
of Solomon 2:15.
Here is her testimony. It is so needful in
these Last Days, like a B12 shot for the weary and exausted.
"And they that do know their God shall be
strong and do exploits."
Daniel 11: 32
Just stand your ground and apply
Ephesians 6:10-18.
"Having done all, to
STAND. "
Our Lord wants us to speak with authority when
casting out demons.
Demons respond to chutzpah (boldness).
Please see
Matthew 15: 21--28
where the Canaanite woman stood her plea with
the Lord. He honored her for her assertivness and Faith.
