"RE: Fay: 03.19.17:
Spring or Autumn"
Fay,
The article that you referenced mentioned
Song of Solomon 2:8-13 as showing a spring blessed hope.
I think that someone else here also referenced those same
scriptures a week or so back as well.
I'm always in a higher sense of anticipation in the spring, and
also at the feast of trumpets.
However, I thankfully am convinced that Jesus can come for us at
any time of the year that the Father pleases.
So, in line with those scriptures in Song of Solomon, that
excite my anticipation in the spring, here are a few others.
These are not as direct, like those in the Song of Solomon, but
very indirect.
Others might say that I'm straining at a gnat, though I'm not
using these to prove something.
They simply excite my anticipation when I read them this time of
the year:
Numbers 21:17 Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well;
sing ye unto it:
"Spring up" (the time & direction)
I Samuel 9:26 And they arose early: and it came to pass about
the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the
house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose,
and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad.
"Spring" … "Up" (again, the time &
direction)
Psalm 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and
righteousness shall look down from heaven.
We go up as Jesus comes down, when we meet him in the air
Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new
things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of
them.
A hint that he may have already declared the season
Isaiah 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies
pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring
forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the
LORD have created it.
Again, we spring up as Jesus comes down, when we meet him in the
air
