In the days of yore, girls and women were ignorant of what was growing inside them. All they could think about was the extreme pressure of society. Labeling them whores or sluts for having the cheek to fall pregnant outside of marriage. A lot of these women were born into poverty and the norm was for their families to disown them. They suffered through world wars. They suffered through the gross misconception that women were slightly odd - hormonal and irrational. Even in so-called 1st world nations, they suffered hunger and deprivation. Not all, of course - but the outside pressures were huge for women to toe the line. Many a heartbreaking story can be read about women who died having back street abortions or were forced into cruel, ghastly "homes" where they sat out their miserable pregnancies - knowing they would have to give up their precious babies for adoption at the end of it. So, the need for hygienic spaces for abortions grew and grew. A prime example of evil creating the right environment for wide spread abortion clinics. Instead of addressing societies ailments and misconceptions, the powers that be encouraged the inhuman practice of abortion on demand.

Nowadays - there is no need for women to keep falling pregnant accidentally. There are a plethora of contraceptives available. Why a women would risk falling pregnant through carelessness, necessitating an abortion (murder) afterwards, is mind boggling. I can only blame ignorance and the "educational" norms the governments have encouraged. In other words - abortion is meaningless in today's society. Pro life groups have to fight hard to educate people as to the reality of the human being growing inside a woman - right from conception. 

Society is screwed up. I'm surprised our LORD hasn't interfered sooner. However - His mercy has given us extra time. May that extra time expire now, please LORD.
