Dearest Doves...

What would it be like to be left behind?  Unlike some of you, I have never read the Left Behind books.  But, due to the lateness of the hour....I have been wondering what it might be like to be truly "left behind".  Here are some of my thoughts, not necessarily in order...

1)  People are easily offended and sue each other a lot.  Jobs are scarce and pay little.  God has been taken out of schools, and well, almost everything.  Corruption is everywhere.

2)  10+ Mag. earthquakes and tsunamis all over the world.  Huge death tolls.

3)  TV reports of some new viruses and plagues that are very contagious.  Huge death tolls.

4)  The AC institutes a worldwide draft.  It is compulsory for both genders from 18 to the age of 42.  It is necessary due to terrorist and nuclear attacks.

5)  That old family member, friend or neighbor that you laughingly derided as a "Bible thumper", has mysteriously disappeared.

6)  Misery and death are huge growth industries:  the AC's military, lawyers, funerals.

7)  The internet changes.  Whereas before, even though pornography was allowed, now the most vile, violent and disgusting types of it are no longer illegal...they are all perfectly legal.

8)  The Bible has become illegal.  It is no longer printed and online versions of it are wiped off the internet.  Don't bother looking up any subjects that don't interest the AC or False Prophet; they won't be there.  But don't worry, there will still be plenty of interesting stuff on the internet.  See # 7 above.

9)  TV reports say that there are two insane old guys in Jerusalem, Israel (of all places) that are causing a ruckus.  They are busy yelling at people and seem to be angry over something.  Photo footage shows them wearing strange garments made up of burlap or sackcloth or something.  The authorities are trying to apprehend them, but have so far been unsuccessful.

10) You notice that it never rains anymore.  Anywhere.

11) Your cupboards are getting very empty, just like the shelves at the supermarkets...some of which are closing up.

12) There are strange, bug-like, drone-type things flying around that have tails and are stinging people.  It hurts.  A lot.  Nobody dies from it though, although they wish they could.

13) Nobody understands how they do those magic tricks in the sky.

14) Full disclosure has occurred.  There are extraterrestrial races that have shown themselves and claim that they are the creators of humanity.  The AC and False Prophet back up their assertions.

15) Fiat currencies have collapsed worldwide.  They will all be replaced with a cashless system that has a chip with everyone's personal data embedded in it, to be embedded in the flesh of the person.  Young people can't wait to get it, it's the latest thing in technology, and they must have it because it's cool.  The AC has promised that anyone taking it will never age.  The False Prophet makes it clear that you can't buy or sell without it and anyone taking it will de facto be worshiping the AC, which everyone is now required by law to do.

16) Uh-oh...You were thinking of getting the mark yourself, because after all  you didn't look forward to starving, having no medicines, and losing your house.  However, you have seen first hand that some of your friends and family who took the mark now have huge boils on their right hands.  The ones who took it in their foreheads are experiencing especially excruciating pain, even worse than the hand people.

17) Acolytes of the AC and False Prophet do not like people who have not taken the mark.  Those who have not accepted it will be turned in--by their children, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, neighbors, etc.  Nothing is reported on TV or internet about any physical problems concerning the mark.

18) You notice that it's getting hot outside.  Real hot.

19) The AC and False Prophet blaspheme God 24/7 on TV and internet.

20) Everybody hates the two crazy, evil guys in Jerusalem, Israel.  They wish their Supreme Leader could get rid of those two.

21) The AC and False Prophet can direct meteors and comet fragments down on the earth, in the sight of men, whenever they want.  People realize that mankind cannot defeat them.

22) Something in your memory stirs you....and you remember/realize that there is an answer to the horror and deception....that there was one who could defeat the evil....now....just where IS that Bible....?
