I've been thinking about Mary of Bethany a lot over the last several days, since I've been rereading the Gospels.

In your post, you asked:  "What did she see, or know, in the Spirit, that moved her to give and worship like that?"

The Bible tells us that Mary SAT AT HIS FEET, listening to Him.  She paid attention and took His words to heart.  Let's not forget, Jesus told His disciples for many days what to expect to happen to Him, his death and resurrection upcoming, but even they understood not, for the longest time.  Apparently Mary of Bethany simply listened to His words, at His feet, and acted upon it.

She is the epitome of a non-lukewarm follower of Christ, who listens to Him and does what is right to do.
