Gino, in all spiritual seriousness,

hopefully the (now) former pope gave up his sins for Lent, too.

His ill health may not be just a facade.

A friend of mine thinks that Ratzinger is convinced he must get right with his God,

who is Jesus Christ, crucified for our sins, buried, resurrected, and coming again.

 

We should pray for all our families and friends (and enemies), that grace may much the more abound to all we know through the Holy Spirit, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the Love of the Father (which art in heaven, not the one in the Vatican).
