"When did Jesus become Messiah ?"

Messiah means anointed so I believe, when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, he was recognized as his Son. And that was his anointing.

Matthew 3:16-17And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

He thus announced it to the people in the synagogue.

Luke 4:17-21And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

àFrom this I would gather that he was anointed Messiah, when he was baptized by John: Gods voice from heaven recognized Jesus as his Son.  Jesus then announced the beginning of his ministry when he took the scroll of Isaiah 61:1-3 in the synagogue and read it to the people. That day began his Acceptable Year.  It wasnt a 360, 365 year but ended after 62.5  [434 +days] weeks.

At the end of that week when he arose from the dead his work in the flesh was completed and accepted.  Many of the saints arose with him and they were witnessed all around Jerusalem.

He paid the price for Adams sin and our sins for we had inherited Adams sin.  You can only inherit after someone dies so we inherited forgiveness because Jesus arose from the dead.  Salvation and all the promises that come with it are ours to receive and believe.  Thats pretty clear to me.

It was 40 years later that the temple was burned and 66 years later that the Jews were banished from Jerusalem.  That completes Daniel 9:24-27.  From the 20th year of Solomon when he completed the 1st temple it was 1130 years later that the Jews were banished from Jerusalem.  Thats what Josephus said and I confirmed it with my chronology of Scripture.
