The Branch Oil and Bride
 
In the “virgin and oil parable” we want to understand the oil.  The literal oil in the lamps came from olives, usually.  Olives grow on branches.  The Church is the in-grafted branch in God’s tree.

In the harvest season, the trees are literally shaken so the olives drop.  They are gathered in a net.  To recover oil the olives need to be pressed to squeeze out the oil.
 

Some virgins had oil; others had to go out to “pay” for oil before the coming of the groom.  If you have been feeling “pressed” you probably have oil in your lamp.
