"How does the little horn cast down stars to the ground?"

I was wondering, how is the little horn of Daniel 8:9-10 able to cast down stars to the ground?

Daniel 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great,

toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground,

and stamped upon them.

For a mere man to do that, he would have to be extremely powerful or possess very advanced technology.

If the little horn is one and the same as the first beast of Revelation 13, then we know that the dragon gives him his power:

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear,

and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:

and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Part of the demonstrated power of the dragon is casting down stars.

Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon,

having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:

and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Some consider that the stars are referring to angelic beings, the host of heaven, particularly in Revelation 12:4.

However, Daniel 8:10 distinguishes between the host of heaven and the stars.

So, if there is absolutely no way that this could be speaking of literal stars,

then is it speaking of group of angelic realm beings that are not part of the heavenly host?

If the stars are spiritual beings, then a man, with the power of the devil,

will be able, while standing on the earth, to cause spiritual beings to be cast out of the heavens to the earth.

If the stars are not spiritual beings, then this man will be able to cause stars to fall from the sky, upon the earth,

which is even wilder than being able to call down fire onto the earth.

The casting down of spiritual beings could all happen in the invisible,

and only its effect would be felt by those alive upon the earth.

However, the casting down of physical things would be seen by those alive upon the earth;

imagine how people would fear a man demonstrating such power.

So, how does the little horn cast down stars to the ground, and what are those stars that he casts down?

                          Thank you,
