Mediterranean gas scramble

I posted in February 2011 of the "Crafty Counsel" spoken of in Psalm 83, and how it relates to the conflict that Israel will have with the Arab nations surrounding her.

verse 3) They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

verse 4) They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

One of the synonyms of the word crafty is the word calculating.

One definition of the word calculating-

marked by prudent analysis or by shrewd consideration of self-interest.

I think the Psalm 83 war fits that description.

The attack will not only seek to obliterate Israel, but confiscate an energy windfall.

Noble Dina 03/08/13

Israeli, Greek and US warships began a joint two-week Mediterranean naval exercise on Thursday March 7th, 2013. The exercise has been codenamed “Noble Dina.”

The exercise was designed in part to practice defending Israel's offshore gas rigs. 

Israel has discovered huge gas fields off the country's Mediterranean shore.

Lebanon has laid claim to at least one of the finds and has warned that it will go to war to defend its claim.

As Israel’s ties with Turkey founder, relations with Greece began to grow warmer. Israel has also upgraded ties with Greek ally Cyprus over the development of its newfound gas fields.

Israel and Cyprus are pooling their planned gas infrastructures to export the gas to Europe via Greece.

This has enraged Turkey's Erdogan, who has ambitions to become the key energy hub between the east and the west. Erdogan also greatly dislikes Israel's growing military alliance with Greece.

Russia, itself is fearful of losing its chokehold over gas supplies to Europe, and is against the Israeli-Cypriot export plan.

Mar. 8th, 2013 Obama's administration said it had reassured South Korea and Japan “at the highest levels” of its commitment to deterrence, in the face of fresh threats from North Korea.

And where is Cyprus in Bible Prophecy?

Cyprus, from the Greek word pronounced kupros, meaning copper, some Bible translations refer to it by the name Isles of Chittim or Kittim.

Daniel 11:30) For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

Israel to ask for military facility in Cyprus

Israel is seeking to establish a base in Cyprus to be able to more effectively protect the growing number of gas fields it is discovering in the Mediterranean Sea.

And what have I said is the covenant to be confirmed w/the many in Daniel 9 verse 27?

The Union for the Mediterranean.

The Union for the Mediterranean ties them all together,  North Africa countries with Middle East countries. 

It is has the deposit of huge energy resources, and is the exact location of the arab-perdition.
