A couple of notes (pun) on your convern of Amazing Grace "taught my heart to fear." 1st Note: The next line, "And grace my fears relieved." Acknowledgement of a full circle, as it were. 2nd Note: Given that the lyrics were penned in the 1700s, it may be reasonable to assume that the use of the word "fear" is used in its olde english stylings which has less to do with fear and frightened, than it does with respect, and reverence. 3rd Note: An odd thing with which to find concern in this day and age.
