Thank you for
the comment Gino. Please see
the highlighted words in the
following scriptures and you
will see that God is in
control.
9 The
coming of the lawless
one is by the activity
of Satan with all power
and false signs and
wonders, 10 and
with all wicked
deception for those who
are perishing, because
they refused to love the
truth and so be saved.
11 Therefore
God sends them a
strong delusion,
so that they may believe
what is false, 12 in
order that all may be
condemned who did not
believe the truth but
had pleasure in
unrighteousness. (2
thess.2:9-12)
14 and
by the signs that it is
allowed
(Didomi) to
work in the presence of
the beast it deceives
those who dwell on
earth, telling them to
make an image for the
beast that was wounded
by the sword and yet
lived. (Rev. 13:14)
24
For false
christs and false
prophets will
arise and
perform (Didomi)
great
signs and wonders,
so as to lead
astray, if possible,
even the elect.
(Matthew 24:24)
Didomi is
the greek word most
often translated as
give, or grant. Jesus,
who unseals the seals
gives power to those
first four riders.
Satan/ the dragon
gives his authority to
the beast. So yes your
description of the
sovereign will of God
is correct, and Satan
also has a will, but
ultimately God is in
control, though Satan
may think he is
winning the chess
game.
Deb,
and all
I
originally called
what the Lord
revealed to me
through his
Word, a "false
tribulation". In a
sense this is what
it is, but i have
come to better
understand it as the
"end of the age of
grace", and that
some of these events
are the actual
events described in
Matthew 24, and
revelation.
Fundamental in this
understanding is
that we are rescued
from the wrath of
God, but we will
face some of those
events described in
both these accounts.
I am not going to go
into the details on
this here but it has
to do with how the
events of revelation
are ordered. I am
currently working on
this, and will share
when the time is
right.
A friend
of mine said the
following, which we
all must ask
ourselves:
"This
proposal, (if one
bought into it
wholeheartedly),
could also mean that
an individual could
then deny the real
Messiah, thinking
that it could also
be the false one."
My
response to this is.
You
ask: could this be
how we deny the real
messiah? Does Jesus
need to "declare
himself God"? Does
he need to be
crowned King? Does
he need to be ascend
to his throne? Or is
he the King of
Kings, Lord of
Lords, and
fully God right
now? In
other words, He
"was, and Is, and
is to come",
whereas the Beast
"was, is NOT, and
is coming". This
is the fundamental
aspect to
discerning
this.
I think
this is where the
heart of the
deception lies. He
was annointed with
oil by Mary to which
Judas protested.
(John 12:1-8) Jesus
Rode into Israel on
a donkey on the 10th
of Nisan, which is
Palm Sunday as
predicted by the
prophets of the
Messiah. He was
rejected and killed
shortly thereafter,
and then
resurrected, and
ascended to glory.
When he comes again,
he will not ascend
to glory, but
descend from glory
as fully crowned
king and Messiah. He
will kill the
"Lawless one"
(anomos) with the
breath of his mouth.
The nations that are
gathered against him
will be killed in
the winepress of his
wrath. In other
words, will Jesus
need signs and
wonders to prove who
he is, or will he
just come, as
lightning?
I present
this before the
churches, and all of
you to consider, pray,
and study. As
Paul wrote to
timothy: "If
you put these things
before the brothers,
you will be a good
servant of Christ
Jesus, being trained
in the Words of the
faith and of the Good
doctrine that you have
followed. have Nothing
to do with irreverent
myths. rather train
yourself in
godliness;" (I Timothy
4:6-7) I am not trying
to convince you all,
but I am rather asking
that you consider this
and ask the Holy
Spirit for
understanding on
this.
4 The
Lord
is high above all
nations,
and his
glory above the
heavens!
5
Who is like
the Lord
our God,
who is
seated on high,
6
who looks
far down
on the
heavens and the
earth?
7
He raises
the poor from the
dust
and lifts
the needy from
the ash heap,
8
to make them
sit with princes,
with the
princes of his
people.
9
He gives the
barren woman a
home,
making her
the joyous
mother of
children.
Praise
the Lord!
(Psalm
113)
