Regarding your March 1, 2013 post: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2013/fmriley31.htm
You made a major math error which negates your entire scenario. You subtracted 434 years (62 weeks) from 468 B.C. It should come to 34 B.C., but you came up with Nisan in Christ's crucifixion year.
You apparently forgot you were still in B.C. after you did your calculation.
Then you proceeded to call everyone who disagrees with you a false teacher. And you suggested we read 2 Peter 2:1-2 and "take heed, and beware".
2 Peter 2:1-2 KJV "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."
So, apparently you are saying you believe that those of us who hold a different end times view consisting of a Great Tribulation of Three and One-half years instead of the Seven years that you hold to are guilty of violating 2 Peter 2:1-2. Is this issue a "damnable heresy"?, i.e. something that affects salvation? Of course not! This insinuation is more than a little over the top, it's ridiculous.
Then you go on to discuss Revelation 3:10 KJV "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."This verse and context isn't saying anything about Seven years! How does believing this is Three and One-half years make Christ a liar??? It doesn't!!! You are obviously just attempting to intimidate people.
