"Re: 'BIG THINGS' HAPPEN IN A 'JUBILEE YEAR'......."

Hi Bruce,

I'm in total agreement here too.

One thing that I wonder though if the 2016 Jubilee will signal the Lord's return or just the beginning of the next new golden age for Israel?
It is conceivable that over the next 42 months Israel is able to put down her enemies and regain the huge land mass they had in ancient times.

The world would view this as the false Armageddon and usher in a new age of peace in the Middle East... "that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,"

This could develop into a Gog-Magog scenario with Israel controlling new vast oil reservoirs of the vanquished enemies. Heck, even the 7-year tribulation theorists would have a revival or sorts?

There is no doubt that something colossal will transpire; question is what. A newly rebuilt temple for a newly championed Israel?

Hopefully for us seekers of the King and the Kingdom it couldn't come soon enough. But we have been burned many times before and I will remain hopeful but sceptical.

Certainly the new light that has been shed by Ray Shulz and his research on the Daniel time-lines lend credence to the earlier coming King in that the 49 years will have expired by September 2015. However by adding the (360 day) 49 years from a different date other than 1967 we reach a different end date. Say for example the 1973 Yom Kippur War when I believe the first Seal was broken; this would yield a January 2022 fulfilment!

The one detail that gives me hope for the earlier 2nd coming in 2016 is the

 Isaiah 61:1-3 reading... "1, The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
    2, To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, [Lord Jesus closed the scroll on this jubilee day in 27 AD and stopped reading in the middle of the sentence!] and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
    3, To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

It is as though the rest of the jubilee was put on hold until our time. Hopefully this will ring true sooner than later!

best regards,
Tom
