"Danger of line of Seth view"

Dear fellow Doves; would you please prayerfully consider these following comments in regards to your stance on who the sons of God are in Genesis 6, whether they are from the line of Seth, or fallen angels, and why it does truly matter.

·         Are these the same sons of God who assembled themselves in the presence of the Lord in Job 1:6 and 2:1?

·         Are these the same sons of God who sang praises to God when He laid the foundation of the earth in Job 38:7?

·         What travesty did the angels commit who left their former estate commit in Jude 6, and why is this passage in Jude included within context of Sodom and Gemorrah in verse-7?

·         What purpose drove Paul to warn the church at Corinth in 1-Corinthians 11:10 that their women were to cover their heads as a symbol because of the angels?
Instead of relying on the Book of Enoch, we should allow scripture to interpret scripture.

As for using extra-biblical writings, I would also like to draw your intention to the work of Josephus, “Antiquity of the Jews”, Book One, Chapter-3, verse-1, where it is written:

"For many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants. But Noah was very uneasy at what they did; and being displeased at their conduct, persuaded them to change their dispositions and their acts for the better: but seeing they did not yield to him, but were slaves to their wicked pleasures, he was afraid they would kill him, together with his wife and children, and those they had married; so he departed out of that land."  (thanks to biblestudytools.com)

The bottom line is that yes, the sons of God within Genesis and Job are angels, some of whom sinned in taking human women as wives, procreated, and produced Nephilim offspring.  Genesis 6 also tells us that there were giants on the earth afterwards (i.e. after the flood), and we see this throughout the conquest of Canaan, even to the point where Paul admonished the church to symbolically protect their women because of angels.
Where this all becomes important to us today, as bible believing Christians saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, is that our Lord and Savior warned us about the Days of Noah being just like the Son of Man returns (Matthew 24:27 and Luke 17:26).  Those who push the sons of Seth view, and condemn those who believe the angelic view, fail to see the big picture behind the schemes of Satan, which we are not to be ignorant of (2-Corinthians 2:11), and unlike the sons of Issachar in 1-Chronicles 12:32, are not understanding of the times, and thus not knowing what to do.
The typical response that I have run across from many who hold the sons of Seth view against those who consider angels and their obvious correlation to the UFO and alien deception, is that we are obsessed with the dark and the demonic, and should instead keep sight on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute… Philippians 4:8.
Yet to ignore the obvious dangers and warning signs contained within scripture, which are manifesting within the world at large, would in fact cause us to deny the truth that Philippians starts out on.  We are to shine the Light of the Word upon the deeds and the beliefs of the dark.  Do we also ignore the rest of scripture that contains hard and uncomfortable topics?  Do we cut out sections of scripture or interpret them in ways to make us feel warm and fuzzy at night?
What about 2-Samuel 12:31, where King David slaughtered the people of Rabbah with saws, sharp iron instruments, iron awes, and the brick kiln.  Was it because these people were sinners?  Or was it also because these Ammonites still carried the genes of the Nephilim, like their old king Og of Bashan?  Do you see what I am saying?  God HATES angelic / human interbreeding, so much that He sent the great flood to wipe them out, and then gave a firn order for the Jews to slay all people in the land of Canaan, all being those related to the Giant.  These Canaanites were altogether different than the Gentiles of Egypt, because Joseph took an Egyptian as a wife, and Abraham had Hagaar in his attempt at a son.  God is not neurotic, there are reasons behind His commands, that supercede our limited "wisdom".
My personal key point: what is the great apostasy of 2-Thessalonians 2:3?  I want to believe that this apostasy really is a literal physical departure of the church in a pre-tribulational rapture, and yet the consistent interpretation is a massive falling away of the faith, prior to the revealing of the man of lawlessness.  I hope for the best case scenario, and work anticipating the worst.  I still believe in the pre-trib rapture, but I am not convinced by scripture that this apostasy of the “church” will not occur prior to the 7-year tribulation period.
The church has been in a slow gradual apostasy since Christ ascended, but what could cause a massive focal apostasy event in the future, an event that will lead to the revealing of the Beast?  Humanity is being constantly conditioned to believe in extraterrestrial life.  Those of us who are striving to be like the sons of Issachar realize that they are the fallen angels, preparing mankind to accept and worship them as the gods of old who have returned.
What were are to discern and what we are to do is to know the truth, as revealed through scripture.  This includes our greatest call, which is evangelism to the Gospel of Christ, and that will always be the main point.  But we are also to act as watchmen (Ezekiel 33) and warn those against evil and impending destruction, whether it be hell to the unbeliever, or to our neighbors, friends, family members, against the coming apostasy and great deception, mentioned in 2-Thessalonians 2.
If the line of Seth view is believed, people go on with a distorted appreciation of God the Father and His plan.  Instead of God saving humanity by wiping out corrupted flesh (which today is akin to corrupted DNA) by keeping Noah and his pure generations safe for the Messiah to come through, God is made to look like He made a mistake with the antediluvian world, and kills everyone.  This misunderstanding continues when we read how God ordered the slaughter of the Canaanites, as described previously.  The world views God as a homicidal maniac, rather than a loving and gracious God who keeps His word by protecting the bloodline for which the Messiah would be born through.
By teaching the line of Seth view, the church continues to teach a human centric interpretation of scripture… that “it’s all about us”.  Yes, the central theme of the Bible is God reconciling humanity back to Himself through the Messiah Jesus Christ.  But there is even a larger issue that is being played out as we speak, that the Bible does describe, even as if through a dark mirror.

·         Who first rebelled or sinned against God, was it Adam, or was it Satan?

·         When did this first rebellion take place?  Can we see any scriptural evidence of the ramifications?  Why did the earth become formless and void in Genesis 1:2?

·         Who was the Lake of Fire prepared for originally, man, or angel?

·         Is it fair to say that the Day of the Lord will bring into closure all rebellion against God?  Would not all rebellion include Christ rejection humanity, as well as Satan and the fallen angels?  Doesn’t the Day of the Lord conclude with Satan being thrown into the Lake of Fire?
So in my reading of scripture, I have come to the opinion that it all started with an angelic rebellion, and it will all end with an angelic judgment.  Yes, humanity is here, some of whom were rescued by God and raised up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace toward us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6-7), because we have been preached the gospel by the Holy Spirit, sent from heaven – things into which angels long to look. (1-Peter 1:12).
God is dealing with an angelic rebellion, and He is using us as pictures and examples to the angelic realm in a similar fashion to those Old Testament stories which illustrate New Testament truths.
The sons of God in Genesis-6 are angels, and what occurred then will occur again before the coming of the Son of Man.  To believe that the sons of God were men from the line of Seth is to believe a lie, and this lie will not help anyone when the extraterrestrial aliens (which we know are fallen angels) return.  Instead, men will believe what they see, rather than what is written in the Word, and thus fall away from the faith, and believe a lie.  Again, my main point of concern, is that the church will be here when this happens prior to the pre-tribulation rapture.  As a watchman, I am required to warn when I see danger on the way.  Not all serve the same function in the body of Christ, some have to serve in the gutters if you know what I mean.
God be praised for His truth, His love, and His Son!
Peace -
