"Thanks
Kathy and Gerlinda!"
I'm glad your surgery went well, Kathy. I
prayed for you. May the good news continue.
Gerlinda, my days are definitely up and down. I don't know
why this is. I think the oddity of my body's pattern is
that it lurches into pretty good health and then the very
improvement triggers a semi-relapse. It is very odd to
live in my "tent," (the word Apostle Paul used to describe the
body). Anyway, yesterday and today were both
good days, and I had pleasant evenings both nights with my
family, where the children were watching the movie "Tintin" on
their home screen. The children are
behaving well, and everyone was having a good time. Dad
(my son) was making whole wheat spaghetti with tomato sauce
containing chopped fresh vegetables.
I forgot to mention that I've had some help by finding some
shoes that really fit, so my feet hurt less. These shoes I
found here in our own small department store,
and they are called Wolkys, from Germany. The sandals are
wide enough not to pinch my forefoot, and yet not so wide at the
back to be unstable. These are very good shoes, and I've
looked for them of years. I mention it in case someone
else may find foot relief from Wolky shoes. They are
online, I presume. Butmy toes' soles are still red from
the excess platelets in my blood, which the doctor at Mayo said
would not go down much for about a month. I am now
approaching two weeks. So, patience.
Prayers for both of you, friend Doves.
