Dear Friends,

Another excellent book to guide our walk with Christ in this world and life has come to my attention and I want to recommend it for review by those who have an interest in growing in their faith, overcoming evil and adding to their rewards in the next life. The book is called The Invisible War - What Every Believer Needs to Know About Satan, Demons, and Spiritual Warfare (2006) by Chip Ingram.

There are basically four parts to this book called:

1) Spiritual Warfare 101 - What Every Believer Needs to Know

2) Spiritual Warfare 201 - How to Prepare Yourself for Spiritual Battle

3) Spiritual Warfare 301 - How to Do Battle with the Enemy and Win

4) Spiritual Warfare 401 - Deliverance for Demonic Influence.

The stakes are very high in this invisible war and we cannot afford to be ignorant of how the enemy, Satan and his demon spirits and fallen angels, operate in his attempt to defeat us - which ultimately he cannot do because of our standing with Christ "for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."(1 John 4:4)

The book provides many useful helps to become an overcomer in our Christian life. It is structured to be read through as a normal book, or used later as a reference book. Each section is outlined with all relevant Bible verses, followed by an executive summary, and personal applications of the principles taught.

The author is President and Teaching Pastor of Living on the Edge, an international media and discipleship ministry. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and is the author of nine books and resides with his wife in Atlanta. He speaks from personal experience and excellent knowledge of Christian doctrines taken from the Bible.
