"Re: Lisa - Earnest of
God"
Dear Lisa,
Your message concerning the earnest if God regarding our future
state in the kingdom is beautiful and sorely needed, apparently
by some believers who are like us all are occasionally sinners
in deed or thought and unsure of their status vis-a-vis the
Bride of Christ and redemption in general.
I will not add a single word to your absolutely wonderful and
inspiring message today addressed specifically to Frank, but in
reality useful to all who read these messages for daily
inspiration and encouragement in their walk with the Lord. I
totally agree with your position that we are all saved form all
sins, past, present and future, when we are spiritually redeemed
at the time of our acceptance of Jesus' salvation. This may lead
to very few rewards, or crowns, at the Judgment Seat of Christ,
but only the Lord knows for sure what are true rewards will be,
since He knows all of our works and the motives of our hearts.
Your inclusion of the appropriate verses from Scripture is very
much appreciated. So many times we can become lazy and provide
the location of the verses, but leave it as an exercise for the
reader to look up the words themselves. This is better than
nothing, but we must remember that many are rushed and just do
not have the time to do the research on their own each day. We
should, I think, do everything we can to make the walk of our
fellow believers easier by providing the text of the verses, if
we have the time.
Dear Lisa, may I make a plea that you please consider
contributing to this forum as frequently as you can, since your
insights are so very helpful to us, speaking for myself only,
but feeling that others must also be appreciative of your keen
efforts of discernment for the Lord. Sometimes we all need the
thoughts of another believer who may see what is so difficult
for us to see sometimes darkly and as though through a fog. Your
clear shining light of spiritual vision is a gift that you can
use for the Lord.
May God richly bless you and comfort you in these trying days
that are upon us all.
With love,
Robert
