Dear John & fellow Watchers:

It takes 72 years to advance 1 degree in the precession of the equinoxes. This could be the ultimate meaning of the word generation. I can't imagine an Israelite born in 1948, living through the various modern traumas, including a 7 year tribulation, only to die at age 72 when the millennium begins. On the other hand though, 1 degree will have "passed away".

Israel was born as a nation in the Jewish year 5708. 72 years later is 5780.  In 5781 the Millennium commences with the Nation of Israel as the lead nation (not dead after 1 generation).  1948 + 72 - 7 = 2013.
