I have seen some weird theories out there some say that
Christians are incapable of sinning once accepting Jesus many
say the Law is no longer in effect because we are under grace so
sin doesn't affect us. But if the Law was gone completely then
that would mean the 10 commandments were gone and no more and
the 1st one is "have no other gods before me". So if the law is
gone worshipping another god would be just fine the Blood of
Christ would protect all peoples. But we know it isn't just fine
that the blood will only cover believers. Hindus are not covered
with the blood. Neither are muslims, buddists, or other non
believers.
We need to remember that Jesus' came not to DESTROY the Law but
to fulfill the Law. He didn't destroy it but atoned for
everyone's sins under it. we still sin but they are atoned for.
that however does NOT mean we can do whatever we want we are not
agent 006 (6 being the number of man) licensed to sin. we still
should try to follow the rules and Laws set forth.
Yes we will stumble and sin but we must get up and apologize and
repent and try not to stumble over the same sin again. Some sins
are hard and we stumble over them a lot but as long as we are
trying not to stumble we will be ok. It is when we commit a sin
knowing it is a sin and do not truly apologize for it, not just
saying sorry Lord and not mean it, and repent and try to avoid
it again but do it it proudly and keep doing it proudly that we
have a problem.
One could truly ask if such a person believes in Jesus and God
because they willfully sin and do so joyously.
The Law is still there but believers have a atonement that they
can point to that says our sins are paid for. Still we should
try to minimize that number of sins that is being paid for. You
don't want to rack up a large bill. Instead we should try to
have the smallest bill of anyone. We don't want to try to be the
biggest sinner in the kingdom. That is one title NO ONE should
want.
