"All Sins Not
Necessarily Equal"
http://raptureintheairnow.com/basic-teaching-instruction/all-sins-not-necessarily-equal
If we look at the law different sins required different
punishment and different atonement. While the idea all sins are
equal this shows they are not or all would have required the
same punishment and the same atonement.
I just watched a video by Perry Stone and he was talking about
unbelievers getting different levels of punishment in eternity
based on the level of sin likening sin to crimes some are
misdemeanors and some are felonies and how each are punished
differently. You don't send a person who ran a red light to jail
for all their life like you would a murderer of several people.
Based on the law I would agree. While believers sins are atoned
for by Christ's blood those who are not believers will face
varying punishments in eternity base on the severity of their
sins.
Some often wonder why we emphasize certain sins but not others
and I would say certain sins carry greater punishment for the
non believer and thus stand out more to us. If you reject the
bible and Jesus than your sins will determine the level of
punishment you get. Your destination will be hell based on your
unbelief but what part will be determined by your sin.
People wonder why we are so concerned with h*m*s*xuality since
it is just another sin. But when you realize that a unsaved
h*m*s*xual (I refuse to call them gay a word that really means
happy), which would be a practicing one who does not find his
actions against God, will suffer greater punishment for his sin
then a ordinary non-believer you want to try even harder to help
them to Christ and out of that lifestyle. You also understand
that countries, states, cities and organizations that help
perpetuate this sin will face greater punishment then those who
do not.
It is why we worry for those Christians living in San Fran or in
Calif in general, and for the ones living where h*m*s*xual
marriage has been made legal, and for the USA as a whole because
this is a grievous sin and will bring greater punishment than
lesser sins would. The same for abortion a grievous sin that
will bring about great punishment.
All sin is not equal there are greater and lesser sins. While
yes any sin is a sin against God and enough to prevent a person
not covered in Jesus blood form entering heaven, which is why we
need Jesus and need to believe on him, the punishment for those
sins, outside of eternity in hell, will vary and the greater the
sin the greater the eternal punishment.
