Dear Donna,

I will attempt to answer both questions from your two letters to me, in this one post.

Satan is a spirit being, he possessed the serpent, just like he will possess the Antichrist.  The serpent was a beautiful glowing upright standing creature with a body, Satan indwelt him, and the physical being of the serpent, had sex with Eve, when she disobeyed God’s direct command not to even touch the forbidden tree.
God knew what was going to happen before he even created the world, and already had a plan for it, therefore He already knew what Eve would do, and that makes it even more abundantly clear, that God gave her the extra warning not to touch it.

I do agree with you, that she would have to touch it to eat it.  Maybe looking at the word “touch” would give us a clearer understanding of why the Lord told her such a thing.
H5060 נגע - Strong's Hebrew Lexicon Number
נגע
na
̂ga
naw-gah'
A primitive root; properly to touch, that is, lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphemistically, to lie with a woman); by implication to reach (figuratively to arrive, acquire); violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.)
KJV Usage: beat, (X be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch.

I covered all this in my study of the Temptation, if you would like to refer back to that.

Satan is a spirit being cannot have direct physical relations with anyone; he has to possess a body that already is in existence.  This would certainly be true of all the fallen angels which left their first estate, which was HEAVEN, when they fell with Satan.  The Antichrist will not be Satan directly, but Satan will indwell the body of a man, just like he did the body of the serpent.

That is why I am so against anyone believing that God would allow spirit beings to have sex with woman, it is not possible without possessing a physical body that already exists.

Satan possessed the serpent in Genesis and caused the fall, and he will again possess the body of the Antichrist when his spirit is thrown to earth, in another attempt to bruise Christ’s heal, before Christ will completely crush his head.

There are other good studies about this, I am sure you can find one that may answer your question better. Or perhaps, ask another dove on this site, what they feel to be true.

God bless you!

"TO: PATTI C."

I really didn't think about the possibility of the Lord telling Eve something different from what He had already told Adam because we are just going by what Eve said that the Lord said to her because the Bible doesn't say that the Lord said that, and we don't know if the Lord directly told her later not to eat nor touch the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil although we know that the Lord directly told Adam not to eat the fruit of that tree.  I thought Adam might have relayed the information to Eve not to eat the fruit from it.  There is no mention of the Lord telling Adam not to touch the fruit.  And of course, the Lord doesn't lie.  If Eve added those words about not touching the fruit, and God really didn't tell her not to touch the fruit, then I don't think she would have realized at that point in time that she had added to the words of God since she had no knowledge of good and evil at that point in time.  However, after she ate the forbidden fruit and had a knowledge of good and evil, I think she would have realized it then.  I can't say that I ever thought about the possibility of the Lord telling Adam and Eve something different until you pointed out that possibility. However, I don't see what the Lord's point would have been to tell Eve not to touch the forbidden fruit when the Lord didn't originally tell Adam that.  Did the Lord later directly tell both Adam and Eve not to eat nor touch the fruit lest they die?  The Bible doesn't say.  We only have what Eve said that the Lord said, but it doesn't make sense that the Lord later told them both not to eat nor touch the fruit lest they die because in order to eat the fruit, you have to touch it.  Even if the Lord possibly just told Eve alone not to eat nor touch the fruit, why would it be necessary for Him to tell her not to touch it because by eating it she would be touching it which is why I thought of the possibility of Eve adding the words not to touch the forbidden fruit.

"TO:  PATTI C. -- FALLEN ANGELS MATING WITH WOMEN"

I have a question for you after reading your 3/27 post to Mike Plunkett at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2012/pattic327-2.htm in which you stated the following:

"I do believe there were giants, but they were not the result of fallen angels, although they may very well have been demon possessed. God is in total control and he would not have allowed such a thing. Satan had to ask God’s permission to torment Job…and he was the head honcho of the fallen angels, so certainly those other fallen angels would have had to have the Lord’s permission to mate with man. And I find it difficult to believe he would have given it."

My question is if you believe that the other fallen angels would have needed God's permission to have sex with the daughters of men, how come you don't believe that the Serpent, who is Satan according to Rev. 20:2, needed God's permission to have sex with Eve?

If Satan (the Serpent) and the other fallen angels believed they needed God's permission to have sex with women, I would agree with you that none of them would have gotten God's permission, which means Satan and the fallen angels would not have had sex with women.  However, if Satan and the other fallen angels all had free will, and some of them decided to disobey God and have sex with women, some of them could have done so and produced a race of giants.  In my opinion, that is why the angels in Jude 1:6-7 are in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day for going after strange flesh, and the reason why I don't think Satan was chained up with those fallen angels is because he didn't have sex with Eve.
