TO BILL S. and all doves (THE BOOK OF ENOCH AND JUDE)
(RE:Bill S (19 March 2012)
"To Patti C - SONS OF GOD AND THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN")Hi Bill and all Doves!!
Thank you for your comments on my study, Bill. Actually I was writing a whole book, but only got to the 7th chapter when I had to stop. It was the most intense study I have ever done and it consumed me, I ate, slept and dreamed about it!!Please forgive me if some of my comments where confusing, as my proof reading missed some finer points. I should have taken that comment about just a “few days ago” out of there, as it was not appropriate to breaking the book down into articles. Of course, I did not do that intense study in just a few days!!! What I meant was that I believed that concept up until I STARTED my study.
I studied intensely for 4 months, 12 to 16 hour days, and wrote the chapters as I studied. That being said, I have been studying the Bible most of my life, but this was a new way for me to do it. I was writing it to my unbelieving friends, who wanted to understand the truth and not just what is considered religion.
Yes, I did write it months ago, and did copy and paste for the posts here. And maybe in my attempt at breaking it down into articles, some of the continuity was lost, as one really needed to read all of the chapters to understand completely where I was going with each revelation. It would be best if you had read my previous posts, as well, as I was setting the stage for each of my conclusions.
As to the book of Enoch…I do not consider that part of the Holy Bible, and if it was to be important, God would have made sure it got in there. That was my point, we should not base our understanding on a book that the Lord did not see fit to include, and it seems that too many people do that. My point being that we did not need these other books to prove what is TRUE.
And, to be totally honest, I have tried to read the book of Enoch and each time I get sick to my stomach and have to put it away. I cannot and will not believe that it is the inspired word of God…more like the inspired word of the Devil!! I have prayed about it, and the Lord has told me not to continue and that it is a deception created by the evil ones. Frankly, I do not know how anyone who reads and studies the Holy Word of God could even consider the writing in that book to be similar. To me it is as different as night and day!!! Sorry, I will go with what the Holy Spirit tells me on such things, as I trust THE HOLY SPIRIT much more than so called Bible scholars!!!
In Jude 14, Jude is most likely quoting from an oral tradition rather than a written one. Jude is quoting Enoch, himself, not the book of Enoch!!! As we see in 2 Chronicles 9:29, there is the book of Nathan, the prophecy of Ahijah, and the visions of Iddo, that have NOT been included in the Holy Bible.
II Chron. 9:29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
I think that Jude 14 is included as an indication that Enoch is one of the Two Witnesses, and will deliver that prophecy in the end-times as well, for it will be at the Second Coming that Jesus will be with all His saints. And, therefore it would be important for an end-time believer to know that information. Kind of like how we are told about Canaan, the fourth son of Ham, years before he is even conceived!! A foreshadowing of things to come, that is very important to the whole picture.
I was not denying that Enoch was in Adam’s seed line, but was pointing out that there was also an Enoch in Cain’s. Do we know for sure who wrote the book of Enoch?
In all actuality I was able to prove my thesis by using just the Holy Bible (KJV) without including any other books that were found later, or written sooner. To me, that is what is important. To only use a few verses taken out of context of the whole story, is not good enough to prove anything, and that is what most do to come to the conclusion about the fallen angels. To prove that the sons of God are fallen angels, one must use all sorts of other references, most of which we do not know for sure if they have any validity!!! I’ll stick with the Holy Word of God given to us through His chosen and divinely inspired servants, prophets and scribes.
Thank you for your comments. I do feel that I supported my conclusions with enough evidence to satisfy my readers, and if not, at least enough to encourage them to study on their own. But, certainly it could have been improved upon by a professional writer.May God bless and keep you as you feed your household!!Patti C.
