"HAVING A FAITH THAT WORKS"

Hi Doves,

When I speak about the works of faith, I'm referring to all the things we say to, and do for those persons that are closest to us.

For amongst those closest to us we reveal our true character!

I'm not referring to ministry works.

Believe it or not those things are way down on the scale of what the Lord is looking for in our lives. [Matt 7:22,23]

The Lord is looking at how men treat their wives [Mark 10:11]. How women treat their husbands. [Mark10:12]

How parents raise their children. [Mal.4:6]

How brothers treat one another. [1Thess.4:9]

How we run our businesses and do our jobs. [1Thess.4:11]

These are the areas where living faith in Christ is meant to exist, THEN spread out into ministry works.

What we do find is men and women in ministry without a living faith in those areas mentioned above.

That's why you'll find a well known minister beating up his wife in a car park.

Another very well known minister [recommended on 5 Doves] divorcing his wife and leaving his three young children to marry another woman, and then continueing on in ministry!

That's why you'll find another well known minister [recommended on 5 Doves] on his fourth unlawful marriage as he continues in ministry works.

This is the result of believing in a gospel that excludes doing the works of faith.

It's not suprising that the personal lives of many Christians receiving their false doctrines, follow the same pattern of marital breakdown!

And then someone will turn around and say the Lord doesn't see all these things because these people believe the Lord has forgiven their sins, past, present and future?

Really? Really?

You've got to be kidding me!

That's why I aways feel uneasy when anyone here on the 5 Doves strongly recommends I should study the works of their favourite Media Evangelist.

For many of the Media Evangelists suscribe to a faith that doesn't work in their personal lives.

The Lord is coming soon only for those who keep His command to love Him and the neighbour.

For He said,

"...You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.

"And the second, like it is this: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." [12 Mark:30,31]

The first commandment is hidden within the second, that's why the Lord said "There is no other commandment [singular] greater..."

In others words, when we obey the second commandment we are obeying the first commandment at the same time!

The reality is that so many Christians have been deceived into believing they can love the Lord without actually keeping His Word.

So many Christians give the Lord lip service while they are known by those closest to them for qualities that are unchristian.

It's not as difficult as many have been led to believe.

The faith-that-works, that I describe in this post is my daily experience, and the experience of many  Christians who have come to realise just how spiritually bankrupt Christianity is in these Last Days.

Unfortunately many will not realise their own true spiritual condition until they find themselves left behind after the Lord comes for those who love Him.

One doesn't need to have letters following his name to understand what I've written in this article, for even a small child can understand it.

However, if ones mind has been conditioned for many Years by false doctrine, the kind that leads to a life of disobedience, such a person will have difficulty.

I want to encourage everyone to examine themselves over the next few days and weeks, to make sure that they have a faith that works before it's too late.

Ola.
