Hi Alan T,Your're trying too hard to exclude doing the works of faith that will resurrect and translate all those who acknowledge JesusChrist as their Lord and God.I stand 100% by what I have written.Note carefully the two verses that precede the one I used in my article.I'll take the liberty of expanding the correct understanding of what Paul is saying. My words are in red."...and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness [ which includes circumcision, ritual sacrifices, observing newmoon days, festivals and sabbath days] which is from the Law, but that which is from faith in Christ [that is a belief in theDivinity of Christ], the righteousness [practised daily] which is from God by [doing the works of] faith;"that I may know Him and and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering [that is, the crucifying of my flesh], being conformed to His death," if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead [on First-fruits]..." [Phil.3:9-11]In many of my articles I've stressed over and over that the righteousness we practise are received as gifts from God.And that within them is hidden the resurrecting and translating power of our Lord Jesus Christ!Because the righteousness we practise is a gift that is received daily, there is no pride, but a humble acknowledgement, expressed as praise to the Lord, that His Holy Spirit is at work in us.It's so unfortunate that you and so many others fail to grasp this.Ola.
