Hi Doves,So many are reading Paul's letters and coming away with a meaning that is simply not there! They really believe that Paul preached salvation by faith without works - he didn't.So many Christians have no business reading Paul's letters until they're had their minds renewed by the Holy Spirit, through the studying of the Law and the Prophets. The Law and the Prophets, from beginning to end, is about our Lord Jesus Christ, His Kingdom in heaven and His Kingdom on earth. The Gospels were written to reveal to both Jews and Gentiles the Lord Jesus Christ in the Law, the Psalms and the Prophets."Then He said to them,"O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the Prophets have spoken!...And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in ALL the Scriptures the things concerning Himself." [Luke 24:25,27]So many Christians cherry pick what they like from the Word and dismiss what they don't.As soon as they come across Names like "Jerusalem", "Israel" and "Zion" they automatically switch off.So many Christians don't even read the Law and the Prophets, because they're been misled not to by deceived teachers. What they don't realise is that the Lord Himself spoke with His mouth the Law and the prophets in order to renew His mind [Luke 2:52] and build up the Glorified Body He took with Him into Heaven! It's from His Glorified Body that we are now able to receive His Holy Spirit [Luke 7:39]This was the work the Lord was doing for 33 Years, hidden from view, within His natural body!In other words, the Law and the Prophets [not including Paul's letters] DID literally become His Flesh and Bones![John 1:14]This is why He said,"...These [ that is, these flesh and bones] are the Words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.""And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures." [Luke 24:44,45]So many Christians do not have their understanding opened, that's why they don't comprehend the Scriptures. No wonder so many believe they don't need to keep the commandments in order to be translated! In order to have the Holy Spirit upon us we must have the Word of God in our mouths. For before the Lord can translate our bodies, we must first allow Him to completely renew our minds."...My Spirit who is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the Lord, from this time and forevermore." [Isaiah 59:21]The Law [Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, etc] and the Prophets [Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, etc] is the Word we must speak with our mouth daily in order to receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts, our souls and our minds, for the purpose of loving the neighbour. This is why the Lord said,"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'"This is the first and great commandment."And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.'"On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." [Matt.22:37-40]Our hearts are our will.We either have the love to do God's will in our hearts or we have the lust to do the Devil's will in our hearts. With our souls we think and reason, for we can either believe and embrace the truth, from which we derive our intelligence and wisdom, or we can believe and embrace lies from which we derive foolishness. With our minds we bring together what is in our hearts and souls. For we love the things we think about and we think about the things we love. For if we love doing good things to others, we will think of the most intelligent way of expressing this, either in what we say to them or what we do for them.If on the other hand, we have the lust of doing evil to others in our heart, we think up foolish and insane reasons of carrying it out.The Lord, through His Holy Spirit, uses the Law and the Prophets we speak with our own mouths, to fill are hearts with love for doing good to the neighbour. He then fills our souls with intelligence and wisdom. The Lord then unites the love in our hearts with intelligence and wisdom in our souls, to give us renewed minds that think constantly about doing good to the neighbour. What then happens is that when an opportunity arises to do good we act spontaneously. Many Christians are reading Paul's letters with minds that are yet to be renewed, that's why they come up with an understanding that contradicts what the Lord Jesus Christ teaches.Paul's letters do not contradict the Lord's teaching - if they are read with a renewed mind."Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed...work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is [the Spirit of] God who works in you both to WILL and DO for His good pleasure." [Phil.2:12,13]It should be obvious to anyone that when we will and do good, it is a clear indication that the Holy Spirit is at work in us.James has a word for all those who make up the foolish virgin Bride."But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?...Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works..." [James 2:20-22]Paul new that the Lord's resurrection or translation power reside within our works of faith, that's why he said,"Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill...the work of faith with power." [2Thess.1:11]The Lord has hidden His glory in the Law and the Prophets for the purpose of transforming our minds day by day until that Day, on First-fruits, He will transform our bodies!"But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on the heart, Nevertheless when one [that is, Jew] turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away...but we all [that is Christians], with unveiled face [hearts] beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.[2Cor.3:15, 16,18]"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His Glorious Body..." [Phil.3:20,21I believe our transformation will occur on First-fruits, which falls on Easter Sunday the 8th of April 2012.Ola.
