I was not trying to upset you but I was trying to show you what the Bible says. It really does not matter what you or I "think" it only matters what God says.But based on your comments you make it sound like you are striving daily to "earn" your salvation. This is what you said yesterday in your last sentence to me "Make your election sure.  Our souls are worth too much!".
Based on that one statement and you telling me that you do not believe in once saved always saved then I see that as a problem. I only post because I care about how satan has gotten into the churches and has and is trying to destroy the simple plan of salvation.
 
You tell me. If someone says Hey Josh you are not suppose to be doing that if you are a Christian then the first thing you(and I don't mean you personally) is going to think is that I better stop doing that or I may lose my salvation. Well my gosh if I believe I could lose my salvation I would certainly quit doing that. I am then depending on what I do and not what Jesus did.
 
I have been told that I believe or have a "shallow faith" because I believe in once saved always saved. Well to me that is a more SOLID faith. A shallow faith would be one that believes they must help Jesus to keep them saved or must "quit" sinning in order to keep saved.
 
I will not quote all the scriptures because you know them. In general when Paul chastised the churches it was mainly because they were trying to bring the law back into the Gospel of Grace. He also would tell them not to live like the world as far as the sin goes. He wanted them to live by the Spirit. You see some Christians still feed the old nature and not the Spirit nature. This is a babe in Christ which is what Paul called them in Corinthians. They were not ready for meat. They still let the old flesh nature control them. Satan has gotten into the churches today and has robbed the Christian of his "peace".
 
Please read 1 Corinthians chapter 5. A man was sleeping with his father's wife.(step-mother) I envision Paul  out somewhere talking to someone about the Lord and that person saying "you christians are no different that we are. You have someone sleeping with his step mother". Paul let the Corinthian church know not to fellowship with this christian because it brings down the body of Christ. Notice verse 5 and I quote "HAND THIS MAN OVER TO SATAN FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FLESH SO THAT HIS SPIRIT MAY BE SAVED ON THE DAY OF THE LORD"TRANSLATION NIV
 
This man was committing sin that, according to verse one, A KIND THAT EVEN PAGANS DO NOT TOLERATE. Yet the Bible say to not associate with him or send him out to the world for the destrucion of his flesh but he is still saved!!!
 
If you are a christian and struggling with having that peace it is 1 of 2 things.
1-You are committing some sin that you know is wrong and are being chastised by the Holy Spirit directing you to stop.
or
2-You are trusting in yourself to "help to stay saved" and losing that peace because satan has confused you.
 
In both situation you are still "born again" if you truly trusted Jesus and him alone for salvation. If you have never done that you are not born again.In the first example you are taking your freedom and making it a stumpling block and in the second example you have put yourself back under the law and distorting the Gospel therefore confusing someone who may want to be saved or confusing an already saved person.
 
Remember this verse that no-one can explain away that things you need works
Romans 4:5 "But to him that worketh not, but believe on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness".
